		Charmander
		Bob's Charmander was Bob's first Pokémon. Bob obtained him from Professor Oak before setting off on his journey. Charmander's first battle was against Gary's Squirtle. After a fierce battle, Charmander won using Scratch. While fighting a wild Rattata on Route 1, Charmander learned how to use Ember. Later on Route 1, after delivering Oak's Parcel to the professor, Bob encounters a Pidgey, which Charmander helped him to catch. Charmander's known moves are Scratch, Growl, and Ember, and his ability is Blaze.

		Pidgey
		Bob's Pidgey was the first Pokémon Bob caught. Pidgey was encountered on Route 1, where Bob sent his Charmander out to fight it. Despite landing Tackle with a critical hit, Charmander was stronger and managed to damage it badly with an Ember. Bob then proceeded to catch him. Pidgey's first battle under Bob's control was against a wild Spearow while looking for a Mankey, which, after a close fight, Pidgey lost to a strong Peck attack. After healing at the PokéCenter, Bob and Pidgey returned to Route 22 to find a Mankey. Pidgey managed to weaken Mankey with two tackles, allowing Bob to catch Mankey. Pidgey's only known move is Tackle, and its ability is Keen Eye.
Debut	Route 1

		Mankey
		Bob's Mankey was Bob's second capture. Mankey was found on Route 22, while Bob was looking for a Pokémon to use against Brock. Bob sent out Pidgey, and although Mankey was stronger, Pidgey managed to weaken him enough that Bob could catch him. Mankey's known moves are Scratch and Leer, and its ability is Vital Spirit.

Johto

		Totodile
		Bob's Totodile was Bob's first Pokémon in Johto. He obtained it from Professor Elm. Totodile's first battle was against a wild Pidgey on their way to Mr. Pokémon's, which Totodile easily won using Scratch. Later on Route 29, Totodile learned Water Gun while battling a wild Sentret. On their way back to Professor Elm's, Bob and Totodile came across a mysterious red-haired boy, whom they later found his name to be Silver. They challenged each other two a fight, and Totodile nearly managed to win using Scratch. When returning to New Bark Town, Bob and Totodile fought another Sentret. Totodile almost lost due to being weakened from his previous battle, but managed to win, learning Rage in the process. On Route 30, Bob used Totodile to capture a Weedle. Later on Route 30, Totodile battled against Joey's Rattata, a fight he easily won. He next fought against Mikey's Pidgey and won. Toodile switched out to let Weedle battle Mikey's Rattata, but when Weedle lost, Bob sent Totodile back out to finish Rattata. Totodile was next used to capture a Bellsprout, which, despite a type-disadvantage, Totodile won. Totodile's known moves are Scratch, Leer, Water Gun, and Rage, and his ability is Torrent.

		Kakuna
		Bob's Kakuna was caught on Route 30 as a Weedle. As a Weedle Weedle battled against Bob's Totodile, but lost due to only using String Shot. However, it took Bob two Pokéballs to catch Weedle. Weedle's first battled against Mikey's Rattata, but lost. Bob then went back to Route 29 to train Weedle. Weedle first victory was against a wild Sentret, which it managed to poison. Weedle next battled against Dan's two Caterpie, both of which Weedle managed to defeat. Later, in Sprout Tower, Weedle defeated a Rattata and evolved into a Kakuna, learning Harden. As a Kakuna Kakuna's known moves are Poison Sting, String Shot, and Harden, and his ability is Shed Skin.
Debut	Route 30

		Rocky
		Bob's Onix, nicknamed Rocky, originally belonged to Rudy. Bob obtained Rocky in a trade for his Bellsprout. Rocky's first battle was against a wild Rattata in Sprout Tower. Due to Rattata's Quick Attack having little effect, Rocky managed to win. Rocky's known moves are Tackle, Mud Sport, Harden, and Bind, and his ability is Sturdy.
