Hi! I am Aggron989 and I joined Bulbapedia in December of 2012. As my username suggests, one of my very favorite Pokémon is [[Aggron]], despite the fact that it receives 4x damage from both [[Fighting (type)|Fighting]] and [[Ground (type)|Ground]] type attacks.
Pokémon is one of my hopeless obsessions, hence the reason I like helping out here.


If I had to say my favorite Pokémon type, it would probably by {{t|Psychic}}. Psychic Pokémon tend to have very good [[Special Attack|special]] [[Special Defense|stats]], as well as respectable speed. I like pretty much all types, except for {{t|Flying}}, which doesn't really impress me all that much. It's not bad, but the only reliable stat is Speed, which is outclassed by a lot of other Pokémon. Don't get me wrong, I like Flying Pokémon as long as the second type isn't {{t|Normal}}.
I can't honestly say that I remember when I first really started getting into Pokémon, but my very first game was Pokémon Ruby. I was really young when I first started playing and I didn't know how to do ''anything'', but I have since then gotten a lot better and I am now acquainted with this concept of IV-breeding and EV-training. What? There's actual ''math'' behind Pokémon battles? How about that. After a while, I began actively paying attention to my Pokémon's stats and IVs and I finally got truly good{{tt|*|at least by my standards}} at making competitive Pokémon in Omega Ruby, where I now spend much of my time battling other people online via the Battle Spot. I also play the Pokémon Ranger and Mystery Dungeon games.


While I try to make sure my edits are perfect the first time I make them, I am a human being and make mistakes like the next person. If you have an issue with anything I do on Bulbapedia, please either fix it or [[User talk:Aggron989|ask me about it]].
It's debatable whether I'm a bigger fan of the anime or the games. I've seen every main series episode of the anime and I've been making sure to watch each new episode as soon as possible. I still haven't seen all of the Chronicles yet, but I have seen all of the movies. I love the anime. It's a lot of fun and although I do like other animes, I like that Pokémon isn't as graphic (or sometimes just plain disturbing) as others can be. My favorite episode is ''[[EP039|Pikachu's Goodbye]]'' and my favorite characters include Misty, James, Max, Cilan, Iris, Clemont, and Bonnie. I like all of the main characters, actually. I'd just say that those are my favorites.


You'll probably find me helping out most often with articles somehow related to [[Kanto]], [[Hoenn]], and [[Almia]]. My favorite games are set in these regions.

On Bulbapedia, one of my goals is to help expand articles that need it. There are a lot of [[BP:Find or fix a stub|stubs]] currently on Bulbapedia - with a little more information added, they can become much better or be merged into one larger article.

I joined Bulbapedia back in December of 2012, when I was one of those new users that just added random bits of trivia or asked questions that didn't really need to be asked if I actually did my research before asking the question. But I've gotten better... I think. As of late, I've tended to focus on the anime articles more than anything else, although I contribute wherever I see something that needs editing.


I try to be as nice as I can when I interact with other users. It's very easy for people to misunderstand each other while communicating online, so I tend to be very conscious about what I post for the public to see. If you ever feel like I'm being a jerk, please let me know, because I definitely do ''not'' want to come across that way!

Pokémon is one of my hopeless obsessions, hence the reason I like helping out here.

I can't honestly say that I remember when I first really started getting into Pokémon, but my very first game was Pokémon Ruby. I was really young when I first started playing and I didn't know how to do anything, but I have since then gotten a lot better and I am now acquainted with this concept of IV-breeding and EV-training. What? There's actual math behind Pokémon battles? How about that. After a while, I began actively paying attention to my Pokémon's stats and IVs and I finally got truly good* at making competitive Pokémon in Omega Ruby, where I now spend much of my time battling other people online via the Battle Spot. I also play the Pokémon Ranger and Mystery Dungeon games.
