Route 17 (Japanese: １７ばんすいどう Water Route 17) is a route found by Surfing west from Route 1. The player spends most of the time here surfing although there is shallow water on some parts of the route where the player can land, and the P2 Laboratory is located here. There are a lot of water currents here and the water currents going down will lead the player to Route 18.

Route description

Route 17 is a mid-sized sea route littered with shallow spots and currents. Because of the currents, a few players may find difficulty in accessing Route 18. The electric billboard inside of the gate from Route 1 to Route 17 is black. The guide claims it is 'kind of refreshing.'
