Trip's Conkeldurr (Japanese: シューティーのローブシン Shooty's Roubushin) is the sixth known Pokémon owned by Trip.

History

As a Timburr

Timburr first appeared in Ash and Trip's Third Battle!, where it was the second Pokémon Trip sent out during his battle with Ash. Ash chose Oshawott to face it. During their match, Timburr initially took the upper hand when Oshawott refused to open his eyes while using Aqua Jet, a fact Trip picked up on, even stopping the battle to take pictures of Oshawott and show them to Ash. Once Ash saw the pictures and understood why Aqua Jet wasn't working, the battle resumed, pitting Oshawott's Razor Shell against Timburr's moves. Despite its skill in using its wooden beam in tandem with its fighting style, Timburr was defeated.

As a Gurdurr

In Cilan Versus Trip, Ash Versus Georgia!, it returned, having evolved into a Gurdurr sometime prior. It was the Pokémon Trip chose for his first round match in the Club Battle, in which he had to face Cilan and his Dwebble. When the battle started, it was immediately apparent that Gurdurr had retained and built upon the skill it had with the wooden beam as a Timburr, moving around quickly using its new iron girder and spinning the girder in the air. It also had new moves such as Stone Edge, which it used to great effect against Dwebble, even managing to crack Cilan's Pokémon's rocky shell. However, in the climax of the battle, Cilan used Shell Smash and Rock Slide to evade Gurdurr's attacks, then bury it in rocks and separate it from its weapon, ultimately resulting in its defeat.

In The Clubsplosion Begins!, Trip revealed that his Gurdurr had evolved into a Conkeldurr. While waiting in line to register for the Clubsplosion tournament, he revealed it to Ash, Cilan, Iris, Bianca and Stephan. Ash and Pikachu were intimidated by its size and appearance. In Search for the Clubultimate!, it was used to battle Bianca and her Emboar in the first round. It had already gained the upper hand; using its concrete pillars to defend itself from Emboar's attacks, increasing its strength drastically with Bulk Up and trapping Emboar within a circle of rocks using Rock Tomb. It seemed as if victory was Conkeldurr's when it launched a Stone Edge at the trapped Emboar. However, in the next episode, Emboar had surprisingly survived the attack and used the shattered remains of Rock Tomb for Fling. While Conkeldurr was blocking the stones with its concrete pillars, Emboar got close, snatched the pillars away from Conkeldurr, and Flinged them at it, knocking it out and eliminating Trip from the tournament.

Personality and characteristics

Trip and Conkeldurr

Conkeldurr has been one of Trip's most often used Pokémon since its debut. As can be expected from a Pokémon of its species, Conkeldurr has shown a great level of skill in wielding its weapons across all of its evolutionary stages.

It also has been seen to be very eager to battle, as in its battle against Oshawott, in which it shows discontent in the battle being stopped before completion. As a Conkeldurr, it appears protective of its Trainer, stepping in front of Ash and Pikachu to intimidate them away from getting in Trip's face.
