(Isn't "very similar to Contests" pretty subjective? It doesn't look like Contest performances at all to me, besides the "showcasing Pokémon" concept. Everything else seems different.)

TriPokalons are performance tournaments that take place in various places. They are divided in two sections. The first is a theme performance and can encompass activities such as making {{DL|Pokémon-Amie|Poké Puffs}}, trimming {{p|Furfrou}}, or using small articles to show yourself. The activities per theme performance depend on the specific TriPokalon tournament. The second section is a free performance, which is the same in each TriPokalon tournament. The Pokémon Performer and their Pokémon perform together on stage, making full use of the Pokémon's capabilities. It is similar to the [[Appeal]] round of a Pokémon Contest.

Aria as Kalos Queen

TriPokalons are performance tournaments that take place in various places. They are divided in two sections. The first is a theme performance and can encompass activities such as making Poké Puffs, trimming Furfrou, or using small articles to show yourself. The activities per theme performance depend on the specific TriPokalon tournament. The second section is a free performance, which is the same in each TriPokalon tournament. The Pokémon Performer and their Pokémon perform together on stage, making full use of the Pokémon's capabilities. It is similar to the Appeal round of a Pokémon Contest.

Pokémon Performers who win each individual TriPokalon tournament three or more times can enter the Master Class. Pokémon Performers in the Master Class perform in one last ultimate tournament, with the winner gaining the title of "Kalos Queen". The current Kalos Queen is Aria, who managed to win the Master Class tournament with her Braixen.

Shauna had already set her goal to become a Pokémon Performer, and ultimately Kalos Queen. In XY040, she informed Serena about TriPokalons, which led to Serena wanting to become a Pokémon Performer as well.
