Torrent (Japanese: げきりゅう Raging Rapids) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Thirteen Pokémon have this ability; each one of them is a member of the evolution family of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, or Isshu's Template:Type2 starter Pokémon.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Torrent uses a Template:Type2 move, the power will increase by 1.5x if the user has less than or equal to 33% of its maximum HP remaining.

Outside of battle

Torrent has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Torrent will deal double the damage if the Pokémon using it is below 25% of its HP.
