Torrent (Japanese: げきりゅう Raging Rapids) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Twenty-one Pokémon can have this Ability, all of which are Water types. All Water-type starter Pokémon have this Ability.
Effect
In battle
When a Pokémon with Torrent uses a Water-type move, the power will increase by 1.5× if the user has less than or equal to ⅓ of its maximum HP remaining.
Outside of battle
Torrent has no effect outside of battle.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, Torrent will deal double the damage if the Pokémon using it is below 25% of its HP.
Pokémon Conquest
In Pokémon Conquest, Torrent will increase user's Attack if the Pokémon using it is below ⅓ of its HP.
