Tommy (AG015)

Tommy (Japanese: タクト Takuto) is a character of the day who appeared in Gonna Rule The School!.

Max and Tommy

As a student of the Pokémon Trainer's School in Rustboro City, he went on a class field trip with Roxanne's beginner class. After a Poliwag ran off and was found by Max, he blamed Kenny for ruining the field trip. However, Anita defended Kenny from Tommy which led into a fight, only for it to be stopped by Roxanne.

Tommy has returned to the Trainer's School sometime before Professor Oak did a lecture via videophone. After Ash and his friends went to the beginner class, Tommy quizzed Max on what attacks would work against Flying-type and ones that are underground. As Max answered both correctly due to his vast knowledge of Pokémon, Tommy became jealous.

The next day, while Ash was helping Kenny to overcome his fear of touching Pokémon, Tommy pretended to trip on Poliwag's tail which caused a fight between him and Max. When the class got outside, Tommy battled Max during a training class in a one-on-one Pokémon battle. Using Magby against Max's Poliwag (though both Pokémon actually belonged to the school), he got the upperhand since Max was relying on defensive moves. As Tommy was about to defeat Max, Team Rocket interrupted the battle in order to make off with all the Pokémon they stole from the Poké Ball Deposit Room. Tommy teamed with Max and the whole class to battle them. This teamwork caused Tommy to get along with Max and as a result, he and the class were able to defeat Team Rocket with Roxanne's Geodude blasting them off. As Tommy got along with Max, Anita, and Kenny, this made Roxanne proud.

		Magby was first seen on a field trip with Roxanne's beginner class, and then again when the class was trying to get used to Pokémon. It was later seen again in its battle with Max's Poliwag. During the battle Max kept raising Poliwag's defense but didn't bother to go offensive leaving Tommy almost victorious if the battle wasn't interrupted by Team Rocket. During Team Rocket's attempt to capture the Pokémon from the school, Tommy and Magby snuck away and heated up the Wurmple shaped mecha with Flamethrower. Magby's only known move is Flamethrower.
