Trivia

  • Togetic's cry sounds the same as its name.
  • Though it is a Generation II Pokémon, Togetic made its anime debut during the Generation III saga.
  • Togetic appeared gold in its origional Generation II games. This was changed to white in subsequent games.
  • Togetic shares the same species name with Blissey. They are both known as Happiness Pokémon.

Origin

Togetic's design appears to draw inspiration from a fairy, a chicken, and an egg. It could also be resembling a baby bird, seeing as its pre-evolution is an egg and its evolution is a full-grown bird.

Name origin

The toge in Togetic's name is 刺, spike, and the tic is from an alternate transliteration of the corresponding part in its Japanese name, chick, as in chicken.
