Togebo (Japanese: トゲたろう Togetarō), known as Togetaro in Chuang Yi's translations, is a Togekiss owned by Gold in the Pokémon Adventures manga. Togebo was hatched from an Egg laid by the two Togetic owned by Jasmine. As of All About Arceus V, he is level 81.

History

As an Egg

Tobego is the Egg produced by Jasmine's two Togetic when she let both of them in the Day-care, it was found by the Day-care Couple and delivered to Professor Elm.

As a Togepi

Togebo was first seen as an Egg in Violet City with an assistant of Professor Elm who was looking for Gold so he could give it to him. After some time, the assistant eventually catches up with Gold and gives the Egg to him; Gold later names it "Eggy."

After some traveling, while Gold is sleeping in the woods, Togebo's Egg is taken by a Gligar that planned on eating it. While Gold's other Pokémon try to get the Egg back, the Egg is accidentally knocked into the Gligar's head, cracking the shell in the process. Luckily, the Egg is unharmed and Togebo hatches and defeats the Gligar easily. Later, Gold reports to Professor Elm about the Egg hatching and gets in serious trouble when the Professor learns that Togebo had picked up his gambling habits.

When Gold faced Silver in Ecruteak City, Togebo was used to defeat his powerful Tyranitar that had wiped out the rest of his team; however, Togebo fainted in the process after the Tyranitar fell on top of him.

As a Togetic
Gold and his Togebo

Togebo was focused on frequently in this chapter, more so than any other Pokémon belonging to Gold. Togebo was used in the Pokéathlon along with several of Gold's other team members. He was used in one competition where he managed to defeat the Dodrio of a very skilled contestant, even when he was blinded with sand at the time. Later, after Aibo evolves into an Ambipom, Togebo is seen sulking over the attention that he receives from the Kimono Girls. It is then revealed that Gold doesn't exactly know how to evolve Togebo.

In the Ruins of Alph, after Gold manages to find the missing Lance, it is revealed that the reason that Togebo has yet to evolve is due to the fact that they aren't fully connected. When Gold goes to battle the rampaging Arceus, Togebo is given a Shiny Stone from Lance. As they battle, Gold notes how he never thought Togebo to be a strong as his other Pokémon and kept him as a last resort in all of his battles. Realizing his grave mistake, Gold tells Togebo to fight; Togebo joins the battle, evolving into a Togetic and then into a Togekiss immediately after. With their new power, Gold and Togebo manages to calm Arceus down.
