Undubbed character This article is about a character featured in the Pokémon anime who has not yet debuted in the English language dub.
As such, their information may contain romanized Japanese names, rather than dub names.

(Japanese: トビオ Tobio) is the character of the day in A Maractus Musical!. He is the Trainer of three Maractus, nicknamed "Maa-kun", "Raa-kun", and "Cacchin", who perform as the musical group "Trio the Maractus" (Japanese: トリオ・ザ・マラカッチ Trio the Maracacchi). He wished to enter his Pokémon in a Pokémon Musical in Nimbasa City and was on his way there when he met Ash and his friends. He thought entering a "Pokémon Performance contest" would help him prepare for the musical in Nimbasa. His ultimate goal was to get Trio the Maractus to become famous and help bring Musicals back to his hometown.

Tobio had made up a performance for Trio the Maractus known as "Over the Rainbow". Maa-kun and Raa-kun did their parts well but Cacchin found it difficult, so the group constantly crashed to the ground. He later has a triple battle with Ash to help Cacchin improve, but no progress was made. Tobio had the trio try the technique again but Cacchin ends up sending the group crashing to the ground once again. Frustrated by Cacchin's constant failures, he yelled at it causing it to run away. He and Ash later found Cacchin being attacked by a wild Scolipede. Tobio jumped in front of Cacchin and told it to run, but Cacchin would not listen. Instead, Cacchin jumped onto Scolipede to distract it from Tobio, where it eventually jumped off and was caught by Maa-kun and Raa-kun, finally managing to balance on Maa-kun and Raa-kun's arms.

Afterwards, Tobio apologized to Cacchin for becoming frustrated before they all rushed to the Pokémon Performance contest which was already underway. There, Trio the Maractus was able to perform "Over the Rainbow" and win the contest.

Maa-kun and Raa-kun
Maa-kun (Japanese: マーくん) and Raa-kun (Japanese: ラーくん) are two of three of Tobio's Maractus that perform together in a musical group. He caught them along with Cacchin while traveling through the desert. Their part in the "Over the Rainbow" performance was to use Round with Cacchin then use Petal Dance before locking hands in mid air. They would then spin and use Pin Missile during their decent. The next faze was to have Cacchin jump on their arms and use Sunny Day to complete the performance. However, their partner had difficulty first at landing then staying on their arms.

Maa-kun's and Raa-kun's known moves are Round, Petal Dance, and Pin Missile.

Cacchin (Japanese: カッチン) is one of three of Tobio's Maractus that performs in a musical group. It is identifiable by its smaller size and the orange bandana it wears. Tobio captured it along with Maa-kun and Raa-kun while traveling through a desert. Cacchin struggled to perform the "Over the Rainbow" performance with Maa-kun and Raa-kun because it could not land on their arms correctly. With a little help from Iris's Emolga, Cacchin was able to learn how to land after performing a jump.

However it ran into another problem which was its fear of heights. Being able to land on Maa-kun and Raa-kun's arms, Cacchin would become frightened and flail its arms trying to stay balanced. Tobio became frustrated with Cacchin's constant failures which ultimately caused it to run away from its Trainer. After seeing he was willing to put himself in danger to protect it from Scolipede, it successfully performed the technique and used it again during the Pokémon Performance contest.

Cacchin's known moves are Round, Pin Missile and Sunny Day.
