History

Toasted TV was launched to replace Cheez TV, which had a similar scope. It shows cartoons and pre-recorded entertainment segments targeted at children. Its current hosts are Seamus Evans and Kellyn Morris. Former hosts include Sean Kennedy, Dan Sweetman, Pip Russell.

It currently airs reruns of Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 a.m., and airs Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Sinnoh League Victors on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m.

It has previously aired Pokémon: Battle Frontier, Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl, Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Battle Dimension, and Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Galactic Battles. This includes all Mystery Dungeon specials and The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon.

When Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness aired on October 31, 2008, Pikachu made a special guest appearance on the show. On March 24, 2011, a Nintendo employee made a guest appearance on the program to promote the newly released Pokémon Black and White.

For the release of Pokémon Black and White, Toasted TV is currently running a promotion in which the winner will receive a Nintendo DSi and either Pokémon Black or White, with four runners up receiving either Pokémon Black or White. The competition is set to close on April 1, 23:59 Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC+10:00).

Location

Toasted TV is recorded at theme parks. It was originally filmed at Warner Bros. Movie World before moving to Sea World in 2007. Episodes are occasionally filmed at Wet'n'Wild Water World and at the Australian Outback Spectacular.
