Thunder Shock (Japanese: でんきショック Electric Shock), formatted as ThunderShock prior to Pokémon X and Y, is a damage-dealing Electric-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

ThunderShock inflicts damage and has a 10% chance of paralyzing the target. ThunderShock cannot paralyze Electric-type Pokémon.

Generations II to V

ThunderShock can now paralyze Electric-type Pokémon.

Generation VI

Thunder Shock can no longer paralyze Electric-type Pokémon.

Description

Games Description
An Electric-type attack. Has a one-in-ten chance of paralyzing the target.
An attack that may cause paralysis.
RSE An electrical attack that may paralyze the foe.
FRLG An electric shock attack that may also leave the foe paralyzed.
An electrical attack that may paralyze the target.
PMDRB Inflicts damage on the target. It may also cause paralysis and prevent any attacks or moves.
A jolt of electricity is hurled at the foe to inflict damage. It may also leave the foe paralyzed.
PMDTDS Inflicts damage on the target. It may also afflict the targeted enemy with a Paralysis status condition. A Pokémon with the Paralysis status has slowed movement and is incapable of action.
A jolt of electricity is hurled at the target to inflict damage. It may also leave the target with paralysis.
Conq Shock the target, with a potential to inflict paralysis.
PMDGTI It damages an enemy. It could also cause the Paralysis status condition. With the Paralysis status, the enemy's Travel Speed goes down and it can't attack or use moves.
A jolt of electricity crashes down on the target to inflict damage. This may also leave the target with paralysis.
