Thick Fat (Japanese: あついしぼう Thick Fat) is an ability introduced in Generation III that gives the user "heat-and-cold protection," halving the power of Ice and Fire-type moves. Fifteen Pokémon have this ability, half of them ironically already possessing elemental types that make Ice and Fire moves ineffective.
