Terri

Terri (Japanese: ツグヨ Tsuguyo) is a character of the day who appeared in Pasta La Vista. She was a former apprentice and is now the leader of a dojo in Saffron City.

In Pasta La Vista, Terri tried to convince her friend Kyle Hamm to return to the dojo his father owned. Master Hamm had been trying to force his son to take over the dojo because he wanted to start fulfilling his own dreams as well. After they each decided to battle in order to settle the decision, Terri reluctantly acted as referee for the match between Kyle's Hitmonchan and his father's Hitmonlee. However, since Master Hamm suffered from old-age injury to his back midway into the battle, Terri intervened and pointed out that he couldn't continue in his current state. Ash and May volunteered to take the place of Master Hamm and Kyle, respectively, much to Terri's shock and dismay.

Just before the battle's conclusion, Team Rocket interrupted and began to make off with Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee. Terri, not wanting the trio to get away, sent out her Hitmontop to defeat them.

After the attack, Master Hamm finally understood his son's dream and agreed to allow Kyle to pursue it while Terri took over the dojo instead.

During the episode, it was heavily implied and even stated by May that Terri had feelings for Kyle, although the only indication of this was when she blushed after admitting to him that she had hopes of them running the dojo together.
