But... How are we going to use this on the Glitched Pokémon?--Pokencyclopedia 12:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Suggesting

How about adding the stats for Lv1 and/or Lv5 (egg levels in IV/II&III)? UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 12:33, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Or how about a version especially made for the Generation I glitch Pokémon? - unsigned comment from Pokencyclopedia (talkcontribs)
I don't see a problem using the one at Template:Stats/GenI for glitch Pokémon, but it should first be updated. I can do it if I first get an admin's approval. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 21:33, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Do the bars really have to be centered?

The bar graphs made a lot more visual comparitive sense when they were left justified; when they're centered like this it's just really awkward looking. I highly suggest making them left justified again like they used to be positioned. ~Toastypk - Loom. 18:11, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Um... what the heck you're talking about? They are aligned to the left. Show me the page where they aren't. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 18:15, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
likethishw1.jpg Every single page is like this. I just picked one. And they were left before the template changed, so something is up.~Toastypk - Loom. 18:24, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
You just happen to use a bad browser. (At least it's not Firefox since the corners aren't round.) Use another browser, and if your current is IE, shame on you. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 18:41, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Regardless of whether or not Toastypk is using IE, if it is displaying like that in a major browser, it should be fixed. Shame on websites that require users to use a certain browser. — Laoris (Blah) 18:48, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Yeah my current is IE, and I'm always hearing everybody saying all this crap about it... I just don't see the problem with it, it's worked fine for me for years. I've never had any problems with it, and I'm in no serious rush to change browsers just yet. (Plus I hear Firefox is a memory sapping application, and my computer often has some memory problems.) ~Toastypk - Loom. 18:51, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
@Laoris: Hm, that's true. Well, the admins probably fix that soon.
@Toastypk: The exact problem of IE is that it doesn't follow the standards. This bar thingie is one good example of that. Plus, many browsers are more customizable and faster than IE. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 18:53, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
I have heard that FireFox sucks up memory, and on my computer, it often eats up 150 mb or more, but I usually have 15-25 tabs open at a time...so I don't know if that's normal or not. Anyway IE is really bad when it comes to being W3C standards-compliant, but since it still has around three-quarters of web browser users, you could consider it its own standard.
As for the problem at hand, removing align="center" | from line 4 appears to fix it. Not sure why it's there in the first place, though. (Actually, it also seems to be responsible for centering the "Other Pokémon with this total" link, but that can easily be centered by itself.) — Laoris (Blah) 19:04, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Colors?

Dragonite (Pokémon)#Base stats's box is dark purple. Black on dark purple is certainly readable (with the added disclaimer of "eventually", for some of the less visual readers), but it doesn't look nice. However, if using white text, then the light purple part has less contrast. You can have two font colors, but that's introducing inconsistency. Thoughts? --Raijinili 03:34, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

There's always {{(type) color light}}. tc²₆tc26 03:46, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Redesign process

Not quite done yet, thoughts? - unsigned comment from your friendly echidna overlord (talkcontribs)

I see where this is going... and prefer the old design. —darklordtrom 06:16, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Hrm. Well there's gotta be something we can do to make it better. I like it, too, but... eh. TTEchidna 06:19, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
The thing about the old one that this one might not have is the visual comparison. All the stat bars are lined up nicely (unless you're using IE) which makes for a quick glaceover to see which stat is the highest. —darklordtrom 06:22, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Eh, true... bleh. There's gotta be some way we can make these things more awesome. TTEchidna 07:19, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

So how about...

HP Atk Def Sp.Atk Sp.Def Speed Total

255 10 10 75 135 55 540
HP Atk Def Sp.Atk Sp.Def Speed Total

This? Any better? It surely shows the difference among the stats... TTEchidna 09:00, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Eh.. I preferred the horizontal method, since it's easier to read. And inspired by the userboxes, I came up with the following:
HP
255
Attack
10
Defense
10
Sp.Atk
75
Sp.Def
135
Speed
55
Total
540

I know it's not as ideal, but it doesn't seem as boxy as the previous one. I'd have included an expandable box at the bottom for totals, but I've just run out of time this morning. Gywall Talk 10:11, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
That... is fricking BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE IT. TTEchidna 10:28, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

And if you don't like that one

Stat Base Lv. 50 Lv. 100
Min. Max. Min. Max.
HP: 1

1 1 1 1
Attack: 1

5 58 6 111
Defense: 1

5 58 6 111
Special Attack: 1

5 58 6 111
Special Defense: 1

5 58 6 111
Speed: 1

5 58 6 111
Total: 6 Other Pokémon with this total
  • Minimum stats are calculated with 0 EVs, IVs of 0, and a hindering nature.
  • Maximum stats are calculated with 252 EVs, IVs of 31, and a helpful nature.

At least upgrade to this, yes? TTEchidna 10:29, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

This one's good. —darklordtrom 20:52, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh yes, that is certainly better than the current live one! Gywall Talk 23:00, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
Hell yeah. This one kicks ass.--RexRacer 04:19, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
The final point: Check it out. Tell on the talk page which is better. TTEchidna 08:17, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
