Is there a difference between this and Template:Held item? (I notice neither are in operation yet.) --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 18:24, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

I didn't even realize this one existed...and this one IS used... ht14 01:20, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
It's only used because "Held item" isn't widely known about (and, yes, incomplete). All it's missing is an optional parameter for RBY, which I was unable to figure out. —darklordtrom 01:26, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
Same with this, and I already started using it. The other one, though nicer, can have issues I can sense (such as images). I also included a cat for this template. ht14 01:32, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
If it's nicer, why not use it? Merge the desired functions of the two templates into one. —darklordtrom 01:38, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
That's a good idea. - unsigned comment from ht14 (talkcontribs)
Go for your life, ht. Original is now unprotected so you can do it there, seeing as you thought it was nicer. —darklordtrom 01:52, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

"in order to be holding the item." is horrible grammar. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 15:33, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Two things.

One, someone broke it.

Two, why is there all that extra freaking space after the notes? Did you guys miss the lesson on how to do that stuff? TTEchidna 03:12, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Template fix

Needs work: See Growlithe. Poor guy... ht14 02:22, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

This template confuses the hell out of me. —darklordtrom 20:57, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Tell me about it... and I created it... if only MisterE was around at the moment... ht14 21:00, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Three items

As of Black and White, it is possible for Wild Pokémon to hole one of three possible items (see Clefairy). The template should be changed to reflect that. - Chosen of Mana 16:28, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Additions

The seemingly endless coding from here will add the Japanese Blue to the template, as well as making it possible to add games where the Pokemon has no held item, which will make it a lot clearer than just limiting it to games that the Pokemon is wild in. See here for some examples. Vuvuzela2010 01:01, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Update; Pokémon not found in the wild, and Pokémon without held items

Can we remove the only use this for Pokémon that legitimately appear in the wild statement? The job of this template to state what items a Pokémon holds in each game, and not what games each Pokémon is found in. If people want to know that, they can look in the availability sections. So if Lunatone holds an item in Emerald, it doesnt matter if it isnt found in the wild. Plus my update for this, including the event one is complete, which allows us to clearly state if a Pokémon doesnt hold an item in any game. And I've added Black and White 2 to it, since we'll need them eventually :) XVuvuzela2010X 15:51, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
