Luvdisc (Japanese: ラブカス Lovecus) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon that debuted in Generation III.
Luvdisc is #370 in the National Pokédex and is native to the Hoenn region. It is known as the Rendezvous Pokémon, and its natural Ability is Swift Swim. However, it can have Hydration if found in the Pokémon Dream World.
Luvdisc hav a 50% chance of having a Heart Scale when found in the wild.
Given to lovers as gifts, and swimming after couples while in the ocean, Luvdisc are often viewed as a symbol of romance in the Pokémon world. It is said that if a couple spots a Luvdisc, they are guaranteed eternal love.
Luvdisc have the ability to seek out their mate like a compass needle. When two Luvdisc kiss, they can bond together and flap their bodies like wings, giving them the ability to fly.
In the anime, Misty and her sister own two Luvdisc named Caserin and Luverin, who are in love.
In Pokémon Adventures, Wallace owns a Luvdisc named Elizabeth, and Juan owns two Luvdisc of his own.
Luvdisc has been featured on seven different cards in the Trading Card Game. All are under the Water-type.
