Effect
Effect
In battle
In battle
Generation I
In wild battles, the user flees and the battle ends. In Trainer battles, Teleport always fails. Teleport will also fail if the user is under the effect of a Moves that partially trap such as Wrap.
In wild battles, the user flees and the battle ends. In Trainer battles, Teleport always fails.

Generation II
Teleport will fail if the user is afflicted by a Trapping moves (including Moves that partially trap), such as Mean Look and Bind. Teleport will fail if trapped by a Trapping Abilities (i.e. if an opponent has Shadow Tag, if an opponent has Arena Trap and the user is grounded, or if an opponent has Magnet Pull and the user is Steel). If a Pokémon is holding a In-battle effect item, Teleport will succeed regardless of trapping moves and Abilities.
Teleport will fail if the user is afflicted by a move that prevents escape, such as Mean Look. If a Pokémon is holding a In-battle effect item, Teleport will always succeed in wild battles.

Generation III
Teleport will fail in SOS Battles if the user currently has an ally.
If an opponent has the Shadow Tag or Arena Trap Ability, Teleport will fail (Pokémon immune to Ground attacks are not prevented from teleporting by Arena Trap). Like Mean Look, Block also causes Teleport to fail.

If powered up by a Z-Crystal into Z-Teleport, the user regains all of its HP.

Outside of battle
Outside of battle
Teleport warps the player to the last healing spot visited (a Pokémon Center, the player's home, etc.). Teleport can only be used outside, with the same restrictions as Fly, except it cannot be used in towns and cities starting in Generation IV and there is no choice in where to go.
Prior to Generation VII, Teleport warps the player to the last healing spot visited (a Pokémon Center, the player's home, etc.). Teleport can only be used outside, with the same restrictions as Fly, except it cannot be used in towns and cities starting in Generation IV and there is no choice in where to go.

Teleport (Japanese: テレポート Teleport) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation I. It was TM30 in Generation I.

Effect

In battle

151Mew.png This move effect may be in need of research.
Reason: What happens if the user is under the effect of Ingrain? Does Smoke Ball allow a Pokémon with allies to flee in an SOS Battle?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

In wild battles, the user flees and the battle ends. In Trainer battles, Teleport always fails.

Teleport will fail if the user is afflicted by a trapping move (including partially trapping moves), such as Mean Look and Bind. Teleport will fail if trapped by a trapping Ability (i.e. if an opponent has Shadow Tag, if an opponent has Arena Trap and the user is grounded, or if an opponent has Magnet Pull and the user is Steel-type). If a Pokémon is holding a Smoke Ball, Teleport will succeed regardless of trapping moves and Abilities.

Teleport will fail in SOS Battles if the user currently has an ally.

If powered up by a Psychium Z into Z-Teleport, the user regains all of its HP.

Outside of battle

Prior to Generation VII, Teleport warps the player to the last healing spot visited (a Pokémon Center, the player's home, etc.). Teleport can only be used outside, with the same restrictions as Fly, except it cannot be used in towns and cities starting in Generation IV and there is no choice in where to go.
