Listed below are biographies of all minor members of Team Rocket, along with short biographies. Their appearances span the anime from almost the very beginning to the present day episodes and movies.

Regular appearances

Jessie, James & Meowth

Main articles: Jessie, James & Meowth

Butch & Cassidy

Special appearances

Domino

Basic information

Appearances Mewtwo Returns
Age No older than 18, probably closer to 16
Eye/hair color purple/blonde
Sex Female
Height Possibly 5'4" (1.62m) (she is shown to be shorter than Brock.)
Job status Elite officer
Origin of name Either from the game of dominoes (possibly refering to her two-tone outfit), or from the 'domino mask' that covers the eyes (refering to her 'disguising' her true nature). Hobbies Unknown
Likes Giovanni, power, bossing around the lower ranks, tulips, deception.
Dislikes Screw-ups, people who sully the good name of Team Rocket

Personality

Her true personality remains a mystery. She can be cheerful one moment and all business the next, depending on the situation. She has a quick temper, but can restrain it as the mission calls for. However, when the Boss gets mad at her, she takes it out on lesser agents.

History with Team Rocket

Her past before Team Rocket is almost completely unknown. Just about everything we know about her falls into the other categories on here. One thing to note would be that she claims that Domino is not her real name (she may or may not be lying, however).

Relationships with Other Members

Domino seems to have a very close relationship with the Boss, recieving orders directly from him and mantaining phone communications with him at many times, even things that have little to do with the mission. The closeness is furthered by her attempts to reason with him when she thinks his actions will jeopardize his own goal; not many people could talk back to him and get away with it

Abilities

She has no Pokémon, however she hardly needs them. She is an excellent fighter, although her choice of weapon--an electrically-charged 'tulip'--surely raises a few eyebrows. She demonstrates an excellent sense of balance (which contradicts itself later in the film for some unknown reason) and advanced gymnastic skills.

Basho and Buson

Basic information

Appearances Raikou: Legend of Thunder
Age They both appear to be in their mid to late 20s.
Eye/hair color Basho: blue/gunmetal grey; Buson: (he wears sunglasses)/blonde
Sex Both are male.
Height Buson is about six inches (15cm) taller than Basho. Basho seems to be a little shorter than average height.
Job status They both seem to be high-ranking officers. Their silver uniforms denote a rank that, through experience, seems to be just below that of the elite officers. However, this has yet to be verified and may just be fanon.
Origin of name Matsuo Basho and wp:Yosa Buson[1] considered some of the greatest haiku poets in history. Buson was also a distinguished artist in the Bujinga style. As they both flourished during the Edo and Tokugawa periods, some have suspected that both were also ninja employed by the administration. This may be a reason why these names were chosen for criminals.
Hobbies Unknown.
Likes Each other. Aside from fanon rumors there is no real evidence if this is a platonic like or otherwise.
Dislikes Those who do nothing but complain and do-gooders.

Personality

Both seem somewhat set in their rank, and approach missions casually. They seem to be keep their cool even when they lose. Even in these situations, they beat a calm retreat. Despite physical stereotypes, Bashou is the dominant partner, telling Buson to do things that he could do himself. Buson doesn't object, or show any signs of aggravation over this role. There was one particular event where Buson lost his temper; this was when the duo find that Marina has called for help. He yells through her Poké Gear (causing Jun'ichi and Kenta on the other end to nearly fall over) before smashing it.

History

No recorded history. But, from their body language and the familiarity of the behavior towards each other shows that they do have history together.

Relationships with other members

They take mission orders from Dr. Shiranui, but it is implied that they have never met him before.

Arsenal and Abilities

In addition to the Crystal System, they control a small shuttlecraft, a helicopter, and a mech with a pecular manner of walking. Some call it the "Chicken Walker" (Chicken Walker is also the name given to bipedal mechs. most notably given to the AT-ST of Star Wars fame.) but there is nothing to suggest that this is the official name. As for the actual Pokémon carried by the two, Bashou has a Steelix and Buson has a Skarmory and a Muk. (Official artwork by Ken Sugimori shows that Bashou carries two more Pokéballs, but what they may contain, if anything, remains a mystery.)

Vicious

Basic information

Also known as The Iron-Masked Marauder
Appearances Pokémon 4Ever
Age late 20s to early 30s.
Eye/Hair color (pupils are drawn too small to tell) / (black or brown depending on lighting)
Height Quite tall by the standards of the anime. An approximation might land his height around 6'6" (~2.0m).
Job status Elite officer
Origin of name A short definition for the word 'vicious' is "Having the nature of vice; evil, immoral, or depraved". "Bishasu" is often used by fans as an exact transliteration of ビシャス, but these days it is more commonly used to differentiate him from Cowboy Bebop's Vicious.
Hobbies Unknown.
Likes Power and control.
Dislikes A state of powerlessness, weakness, and those who get in his way.

Personality

Vicious is known to be heartless, cruel, and above all he is egocentric. He values his life though. At the end of movie when he finds himself overpowered he begs for his life. A cowardly side?

History

Not much is known about him except he he has quite a reputation within Team Rocket. Jesse, James, and Meowth all recognize him and immediately start kowtowing shamelessly.

Relationships with other members

None seen aside from his hatred of Giovanni. This hatred can either be a personal hatred stemming from problems that might have taken place off-screen. Or it could be just a hatred of having to answer to a higher up. His egocentric power-hungry nature also strengthens this theory. The hatred that he feels towards Giovanni is strong no matter what the reasoning behind it.

Arsenal and Abilities

He's obviously skilled at hand-to-hand combat, even if he doesn't have the best balance. His primary combat relies on Pokémon that are brainwashed by his Dark Balls (it is not known if his Sneasel and Scizor were victim to this, but his Tyranitar certainly was). The origin and technology behind these Dark Balls is unknown. Whether they are Rocket technology is also suspect because nobody else seems to use them. The only quality know about this item is that they make the target creature extremely loyal to Vicious, to the point of forgetting itself and attacking without regard to previous friendships and loyalties.

On'na Boss

Basic information

Also known as Madame Boss, Woman Boss (lit. trans. of 女ボス)
Appearances Birth of Mewtwo
Age Probably late 50s at the time.
Eye/hair color No visuals.
Height No visuals.
Job status Boss
Origin of name No name is ever given for her; she is only identified as the 'woman boss'. Her popular fanon name is "Madame Boss".
Hobbies Making money.
Likes Money, power, etc.
Dislikes Her son Giovanni.

Personality

Certainly not as smart as her son, Giovanni. This can be based upon numerous facts, including hearing a recording proving the existance of Mew, a creature that could bring her Team great power and fortune. She responds with the quip "Can we make a CD out of it?" Her primary focus seems to be on making money. However, she is an effective enough Boss of the Rockets and does not show true ineptitude at her job.

History with Team Rocket

Not known.

Relationships with other members

As Rocket Boss, she commands an army. She gives direction to Miyamoto personally, and speaks of her 'brat boy' Giovanni. Going strictly by the timeline presented by the CD drama, he would have had to be at least in his 20s at the time she said that, which proves her relationship with him to be at best extremely hostile.

Arsenal and abilities

Team Rocket is at her disposal. Not much more is needed, is it?

Tatsumi

Basic information

Appearances
Age mid to late 30s
Eye/hair color brown/reddish-brown
Height
Job status He has the same silver uniform as Basho and Buson.
Origin of name
Hobbies Unknown.
Likes Unknown.
Dislikes Lance

Personality

Somewhat coarse, but not overly rude. A reserved opportunist, he grabs the three most useless agents he can find (Jessie, James, and Meowth, of course) and tricks them into the most dangerous job by giving them free food. He also has a thing for making bad jokes off and on.

History

Unknown. It is presumed by many fans that he may be Oak's long-lost son, due to a striking resemblance to both the Professor and Gary, but this, sadly, remains only fanon.

Relationships with other members

He leads the acquisition team for Dr. Shiranui's 'evolution inducement' experiment.

Arsenal and abilities

He has a pair of experienced Fearows, and is in command of a small batallion.

Rocket scout

Appearances Dues and Don'ts
Age Old. Probably at least late 60s.
Eye/hair color (eyes shut)/reddish-orange
Height Short, approx. 4 feet (1.22m)
Job status Talent scout
Origin of name No name given.
Hobbies Unknown.
Likes Delibird, her job.
Dislikes Unknown.

Personality: Cheerful.

History: None given.

Relationships with other members: Re-recruits Jessie, James, and Meowth back into the Team when they find out their membership has lapsed.

Arsenal and Abilities: She has a Delibird, but it seems to belong more to the Team than to her, as it follows JJ&M to collect the money they owe.

Wendy

Basic information

Appearances Dues and Don'ts
Age Around Jessie's age
Eye/hair color brown/green
Height:
Job status Personnel affairs
Origin of name
Hobbies Revenge
Likes Revenge, holding a grudge, smoothies.
Dislikes Jessie

Personality: Vengeful.

Relationships with other members: Despises Jessie. Refers to Giovanni as 'Master'.

Arsenal and abilities: The only thing we really see her do is add an item (the aforementioned drink) to Jesse's bill.

History

Years ago, she and Jessie trained together. One day, they were working out and got a drink at the Rocket cafe. Jesse downed Wendy's drink and said "I'll pay you back someday". Wendy never forgot this, and holds a constant grudge.

Affiliates

Dr. Fuji

Appearances Mewtwo Strikes Back, Birth of Mewtwo
Age late 30s/early 40s
Eye/hair color (dark glasses)/brown
Height
Job status Researcher
Origin of name Possibly from Mt. Fuji, or Mr. Fuji from the video games
Hobbies Unknown.
Likes Ai (US: Amber) (his daughter), science.
Dislikes Unknown.

Personality: Obsessive Relationships with other members:

History

After his daugher Ai died, he devoted his life to trying to bring her back through cloning. His wife was fed up with his obsession and left him, and still he worked.

Eventually, his studies gained Giovanni's attention, who said he would fund Fuji's project if Fuji also cloned the legendary Mew. This resulted in Mewtwo, who blew up the lab shortly after gaining sentience, killing everyone therein (including Fuji).

Arsenal and abilities

He is in charge of a team of scientists. Whether or not they were his team before he was hired by the Rockets, or if they were provided by Team Rocket remains to be seen. And given their shared fate, we're unlikely to find out.

Namba

Basic information

 episode/movie appearances: Lugia saga
 appx age: probably early 60s
 eye/hair color: ?/orange
 height: short
 job status: researcher
 origin of name: unknown
 hobbies: unknown
 likes: fish sticks
hates: not getting his lunch, people who mess up his name

Personality: Short-tempered

History: Unknown

Arsenal and Abilities:

Dr. Shiranui

Basic stats:

 episode/movie appearances:
 appx age: late 40s/early 50s
 eye/hair color: unknown/black with a grey streak
height: Rather short, probably around 5'6" or 5'7"
 job status: Scientist
origin of name: Perhaps Shiranui-ryu, a sword style.
 hobbies: Unknown
 likes:
 hates:

Personality: He remains calm, with an even tone to his voice, no matter what happens. However, this may be due to only seeing him in times of scientific triumph. If he would act different during a crisis remains to be seen.

History: Unknown

Relationships with other members: He gives commands to Bashou and Buson, and works with Tyson. Given that those three seem to be in the same rank, he may work with that rank frequently.

Arsenal and Abilities: He is in charge of a sizeable crew of scientists, and they seem to work on a variety of things. The two things we see him responsable for are a beam that forces pokémon to evolve, and a 'crystal system' that traps electricity and electric-types with their own power.
