Nozomi, Satoshi's Rival??

If Satoshi totally wins the Pokemon Contest in DP012 and/or continues, can Nozomi like become Satoshi's rival? =p --Hikari-chan 04:17, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

What's the source?

Where was her name revealed? --Maxim 16:59, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Similar issue - source on her age? --Pie ~ 18:04, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Jupiternebula1 has been adding lots of character ages. I'm extremely doubtful that any of them are canon. --FabuVinny T-C-S 18:12, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm suspecting that he's using the ages posted on Pokeani, which are labelled as "estimated". --Pie ~ 18:22, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Zoey is at least 15. --Maxim 18:31, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
What's your source? She looks closer to Dawn's age than Brock's. --Pie ~ 18:37, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes, she does. Because Dawn is 13 and Brock is at least 18. --Maxim 08:39, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Dawn is 10. That's one of the few canon ages we have! --FabuVinny T-C-S 09:41, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
And Brock is 15, in relation to Ash's 10. Aging in the anime is still under debate so shut it, Maxim. --Pie ~ 17:49, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I don't believe Brock is only 15. PokeAni is clearly underaging characters. --Maxim 13:21, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
That age from notes on official art of his character. He is, at his first appearance, 15. Sorry. --Pie ~ 17:04, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
What about Zoey coming from Snowpoint? Where was that confirmed? - Jonah 15:01, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, my theory is that since the Championships are held once a year, you are assuming that they all happen on the same date. Maybe Ash completed the Kanto in a month. It goes on with the other themes too. At Generation XII, I'd bet he'd be 11 like I am this year...Optimatum♏Talk|Hi 13:45, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Well, that would be pretty much impossible. There were 80 episodes in season one(Kanto). That would mean that around 2.5 episodes are equivalent to one Pokémon World Day. Also, we can see time pass in the Anime during each episode. A lot of episodes have more than 1 day pass at a time.GJ 17:24, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

When was her hometown revealed? --Mooites Talk to me, baby! 23:13, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Only Female Rival?

It says this in the trvia. What about Solidad? --Vladek

Solidad really can be considered a rival?--うずまきハルカ 14:00, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Personally, I don't think Solidad showed up enough to be considered a rival. Besides, she was way out of May's league. Cassius335 11:22, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

The writers seemed to be building her up as a third rival to May at the Kanto Grand Festival but she still counts as a league rival until such a time as she becomes a recurring character. --FabuVinny T-C-S 14:08, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
That's still not a Rival in the way Pokemon usually means it, as Gary or Drew were. I suggest that "recurring character" is mandatory to be considered a true Rival. Pity Contest rivals don't have the "must own a starter Pokemon" clause regular Rivals suffer under, it'd make the definition easier. Cassius335 00:44, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget Ursula... [[[User:Chomi|Chomi]] 17:50, 15 April 2010 (UTC)]×

"That makes NO sense!"

Why doesn't it make sense, Theryguy512? I thought the examples pretty much explained themselves. Cassius335 13:04, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Pink/Blue?

I've been starting to notice that all of Zoey's Pokémon feature pink, blue, or both. Glameow is blue with pink ears, Misreavus is bluish with pink at the end of its "hair", Shellos is pink (and blue ones can be found), and Finnneon is blue with pink on it. I wouldn't be surprised if she caught a Porygon! (Although, I highly doubt it afyer the incident.) YinYang 14:28, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Glameow and Misdreavus are more grey than blue, though Misdreavus does have the pink highlights and Glameow has blue eyes and pink ears. - Cassius335 11:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
The official word on colours are grey for Glameow and purple for Misdreavus. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 00:03, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
And did the writers of the anime write the Official List of Pokémon by Color? I don't think so. That goes by the majority of the color. But though, it is true, with the pink and blue•Pokemaniac102 00:13, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Finneon

Why don't we have a page for it? Happizelpom 05:40, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Because it only appeared once. Another thing is we don't know anything about it. Jmath 12:35, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Why does everyone feel that all rival Pokémon are notable of an article? They're just rivals. They're not even in every episode. You don't see all of Gary's Pokémon with pages, yet we feel that all of the newer rivals deserve pages for all of their Pokémon. No one feels like making an article for Gary's Scizor yet people jump on the chance to make a page for Paul's Ninjask that appeared one time in a flashback. Stupid really. --ケンジガール 02:31, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Don't even get me started on this. And by the way, don't say that all of Drew's Pokémon and Harley's Pokémon have articles, so all of Zoey's should. Other than Roselia/Roserade and Cacturne, there's really no other Pokémon of theirs that deserves an article. Even a whole bunch of Gary's Pokémon I disagree with having articles (cough Dodrio cough). Good grief, ever heard the expression "quality over quantity?" Use that when you want to create an article about some Pokémon that appeared for less than an episode for a trainer who will disappear by the time the series is over. --PAK Man Talk 02:44, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

I WAS JUST ASKING!!!! i didnt think we had to have one i was just wondering cuz we had a page for it before then it just redirects to Zoey. god seriously this is the worst birthday ever. all i wanted was a simple answer like Jmaths, then all of a sudden you 2 turn it into a big ass deal. Happizelpom 02:57, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

I'm sorry for offending you. We've just had problems like this in the past, and it's been very frustrating for all of us. And it actually has been a big deal, which is why myself and a few others are working on some guidelines to establish which Pokémon are allowed and are not allowed. Again, I am sorry for making you feel bad, but it's all because of the situation. --PAK Man Talk 03:12, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

well i didnt know that. Happizelpom 03:15, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Yeah, with Drew and Harley it's just rediculous. Drew's Butterfree should definately go and so should Harely's Wigglytuff and Ariados. I only find Octillery notable because its the only one of his Pokémon to beat May in a contest. And Drew's Butterfree, just WTF people, come on. One damn appearance and it gets noted.
And Happizelpom, I didn't mean to direct the comment at you. I was just venting. --ケンジガール 03:59, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

not to be mean but whose the retard who wanted a page for Paul's supposed Ninjask? Happizelpom 04:27, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Does that mean we should delete the article for Ash's Raticate? If not, then maybe you should rethink this. Weedle Mchairybug 01:49, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

I think theyre talking about rivals' Pokémon, not main characters'.Mooites 01:52, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Aren't Rivals technically main characters, though? Weedle Mchairybug 20:23, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

well personally ash's raticate is uneeded cuz he traded it back, and never battled with it, and he'll never get it again also it was only in one episode Happizelpom 02:00, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

To answer WM's question, no they're not. There are only 9 main human characters. Ash, Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Jessie, and James. The rest are either rivals or supporting characters. What makes them different is that they appear in every episode (while in the company of Ash of course; Misty, Tracey, May, and Max no longer travel with him). Rival's don't appear in every episode therefore they are not main characters. --ケンジガール 20:28, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

ehh, not exactly. I mean, by the way you mentioned "Every episode" (that is, I mean before they get the boot, since that's what I assume what you mean), then Brock, JJM, and Max would technically not be main characters since Brock and JJM didn't even appear in the first episode of a "series" (only ones who did were Misty and Ash [and technically Tracey, since OI kinda counts as a separate series [I mean, hey, the listing of seasons list them as a different name, and if AG and DP count as different series, then the other seasons count as different series as well.].), and Max didn't appear in the first episode of AG either (then again, under a technicality, May didn't either, since the first technical episode of AG is Hoenn alone.). Weedle Mchairybug 21:01, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Well I did say "while in the company of Ash". If you're saying it that way then the only main character would be Misty. --ケンジガール 21:04, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
And Dawn, since she appeared in DP001, which, by all accounts is the first DP episode, while as AG001, while it is listed officially as the first AG episode, is technically the second AG episode, considering Hoenn Alone. Weedle Mchairybug 01:55, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Does this all really matter? I mean after they debuted they went in the company of Ash and then became main characters and appeared in every episode until they decided to pursue their own dreams and leave perminately, except for Brock. You don't need to make this complicated. BTW, Hoenn Alone is not the first AG episode. AG001 is the episode May debuted in. Hoenn Alone is EP274. --ケンジガール 02:18, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Just wanted to say that, YES, AG001 is the "first" AG episode by official standards. However, I just consider the first episode of a new series as being when Ash sets off for said new region (IE, he's already left Pallet, and is currently traveling to said region on a boat at sea) so because of this thought process, EP274 (Hoenn Alone) is the TRUE First AG episode.

In your opinion, maybe yes, in reality, no.

Snowpoint?

How do we know shes from Snowpoint?Davidaipom 19:33, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Well no one ever mentioned it. ----HoennMaster 13:20, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Zoey's outfits

Would it be alright if we had a gallery in here showing off all of Zoey's contest outfits? I want opinions. Rivals don't have a place in List of clothing in the anime so I thought here would be a good place. --ケンジガール 06:56, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

I wouldn't object to a gallery at the bottom. — THE TROM — 06:59, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Go for it. TTEchidna 07:01, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
To Trom: Like at the bottom of the bio or below the Pokémon? --ケンジガール 07:01, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm not Trom but maybe above the ribbons, since they're, more or less, related. tc²₆tc26 07:08, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
I'd have said underneath the ribbons... Play around with it in preview mode, Kenji-girl, and pick the one you like best. If someone disagrees I'm fairly certain you'll hear about it :P — THE TROM — 07:11, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Okay. I'm working on getting the perfect pictures using pan shots. It may take a little bit. --ケンジガール 07:22, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
I just removed that gallery under the pretense that it could go on the anime clothing article...sorry. Why can't she go in the anime clothing article? I would say Zoey is a major recurring character... -Sketch 02:13, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
That article was specifically made for the main characters of the anime, not recurring. Recurring characters normally don't have as many outfit changes. If Zoey is added, then we would have to add all of the major recurring characters. Professor Oak, Delia, Gary, Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny, Ritchie, Drew, Harley, Paul, Barry, and so on.
You stated in your summary that no other character has the outfit gallery. That is because other rivals don't have as many outfits as Zoey does. At the most they have two. You have to admit Zoey is a special exception. --ケンジガール 03:18, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

So...huh no mention of her tomboy quality?

So how come nothing is mentioned in the article about her masculinity? Yami 03:27, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

That would be kind of opinionated wouldn't you say? --ケンジガール 03:35, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
but if i remember right I've read in articles on here about Ash (manga) and James (anime) being shall we say...festive. Yami 03:38, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Where would it be mentioned exactly? Do we even really need it? --ケンジガール 03:47, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Right at the beginning I guess.
Zoey (Japanese: ノゾミ Nozomi) is a tomboyish Pokémon Coordinator and Dawn's rival. She first appeared in Mounting a Coordinator Assault.
if not somewhere in her outfit section
I think its needed. I mean would a article about Sailor Uranus be the same without a similar mentioning of such a thing? Yami 03:52, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Guess I could make a 'Character' section, much like Harley has. --ケンジガール 05:17, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
That makes the article look much better, and it could help other articles to have similar sections if they have enough face time that is. No need to have such sections in Character of the week articles. Though someone is likely to try. Yami 11:50, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Gastrodon

I heard about this a little while ago and purchased the book to be sure. (So there you can see a photo I took of it myself this morning. :P)

So what's the policy on upcoming evolutions? I didn't want to just go ahead and mention it without checking... 梅子 16:28, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

The policy is "nothing til it airs". For all we know, the maker of that book could have screwed up. The only true proof is when Gastrodon is actually seen on TV. —darklordtrom 20:07, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Okay~ I figured that would have probably been the policy. Thanks. 梅子 21:37, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Yes I had seen that as well, but they didn't mention Leafeon or Kirlia there at all, therefore that proves that the only proof we have, is from the anime itself.- unsigned comment from Chomi (talkcontribs)

Picture change for Zoey's Ribbons

When is this picture changing? She has five ribbons now.- unsigned comment from Chomi (talkcontribs)

Male Kirlia

Would that be a spoiler to add the gender in? As shown in future events, her Kirlia is definitely male. --ケンジガール 16:43, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

I think it will be considered as a spoiler because nothing has been revealed (before today's preview that Kirlia is the male one). I would say, add it after the evolution (after that GF episode). ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 16:56, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Finneon/Lumineon's Gender?

Looking at the preview of DP174, Zoey's Lumineon looks like it's a Male. (Observing it's bottom looms is the size of a Males (short), as Females are longer.) Once this episode airs next Thursday, along with Gastrodon (in general) and Kirlia's Gender, should we add this too?
