Wait a minute...
If Vulpix are supposed to be born with only one tail, then how come the one that hatched from the egg in the episode when they leave the pokémon egg farm after saving it from Team Rocket had the standard six tales? Another thing, according to some pokédex entries Vulpix are supposed to get more tales as they grow older. If this is true, How come all the Vulpix you meet in games only have six tails? - Because Pokémon forgets its own stuff too often? Why is there a baby Khangaskhan in the pouch from the time they hatch in the games? What about the Beldum and Metang combining to evolve? Cubone's mother dieing? It just gives the Pokémon some interesting stuff. Not quite cannon, because they're to lazy (Possibly) but it is fun.
