Don't forget Ponyta, it was like way taller then it should be in the Flam-Pokeathon. - Kojiro

And Charizard! That Fire Pokémon is far bigger in the anime than in the games! - Taylor 00:12, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
I would have to say that I think the height and weight of a Pokémon mentioned in the Pokédex is mostly an average, like saying humans have an average height while we all have different ones. We know Pokémon are born small and grow larger, not just when they evolve. Aside from the obvious example of Kangaskhan, look at Gary's Krabby. When Ash caught his Krabby (I remember as this was the first Pokémon Ash caught that was instantly sent to Prof. Oak), it was average Krabby size. When Ash checked on it one day with Prof. Oak, it was with Gary's Krabby, which was significantly larger. MK 03:57, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, it's an average, but with some Pokemon like Roselia the difference is absurd enough to make Drew's seem like a freak of nature. It was three times the size of a "normal" Roselia. --Zeta 05:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Numel

I remember an episode where a random girl had a ranch of Numels and it whas hilarious ROFL. THOSE NUMELS WERE AT LEAST 5'0" TALL!!! I mean because their actual size is something like a dog... 2'0" I think. hfc2X 03:53, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Gabite

I'm adding Urara's Gabite on the page. It says Gabite is normally 4'7. Ash Dawn and are around 5 foot. When Urara shows up, she's around the same height. Then, when she sends her Gabite out, its gotta be at least a couple inches taller than her AND Ash and Dawn.--DRAGONBEASTX 11:39, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Could it be possible that the heights (and indeed weights) listed in the Pokédex are just averages? This could well be possible, as even in the Generation II games there is a man at the Lake of Rage who is looking for large Magikarp, and he tells you how big the Magikarp is that you caught. And the Dunsparce that was the size of a Pidgey could be a young one. Just a theory! Taromon777 12:18, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Averages?

Could it be possible that the heights and weights listed in the Pokédex are just averages? In the Generation II games there is a man at Lake of Rage who is looking for large Magikarp, and he tells you how big yours are; some of them are bigger than they are mentioned to be in the Pokédex. And the Pidgey-sized Dunsparce in Following a Maiden's Voyage could have been a baby. Just a theory! Taromon777 12:21, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Ehh, I guess so. In generation III games, the brothers that are arguing about the biggest Lotad/Seedot.. As I recall. Ҝəυzø8 12:27, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

What about Chingling

  • They were almost bigger than Chimecho in the episode where they made their debut. --Kid Sonic 16:23, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
