It's pretty obvious that this Shaymin is not pure Grass-type. It's Grass/Flying much like Tropius but Tropius' wings DO look like wings. hfc2X 21:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey, flyon and giratina have wings and are not of the flying type. If Shaymin does change forme, this will be the first time a Pokémon's type would be changed (excluding Arceus, but the whole point of Arceus's different formes is to have different types)PM102 21:15, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

• You forgot that Castform also changes its form and it's type.
• Flygon has Levitate because it can't have 3 types (Dragon/Ground/Flying).
• We don't know if the Origin Forme will have a different ability.

With that in mind it's still possible that Shaymin will be part Flying type, as it's name is "Sky Form(e)". If it ain't Flying type, then it will have Levitate as ability. If not, the name won't be justifying why is it different than the Shaymin we all know. hfc2X 21:49, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

You know, it's Sky Forme, not Flying Forme. Just because the sky is up in the air doesn't mean it has anything to do with flying-types. Flygon has wings, and can fly, and it's a part ground type. The type can be completely unpredictablePM102 21:53, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

I already said that ALL Pokémon, excluding Giratina, that can fly are part Flying-type OR have Levitate as ability. I get your point that Flygon is Ground/Dragon and has wings, but it still flies and has Levitate. I know that maybe Shaymin will have Levitate and I already said that. The unknown Pokémon shown on the cup is Sky Forme Shaymin. The cup image was posted on an official web site and subsequently removed. There is a trademark registered for both "Sky Forme" and "Land Forme", and as of now, the original Shaymin is officially known as Land Forme. Sky Forme's announcement is imminent, but due to an error, we've already seen a glimpse of it on said cup.

The latest image is most likely real, as well. If nothing more, it gives us a better idea of what Sky Forme looks like in the previous image. Anyone who thinks this is a new Pokémon is fooling themselves. Unown Lord 08:54, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

I think it will just be a grass type with a different forme, same ability and a slightly different move set and the forme will return to land forme when traded with d/p but if they change the ability it could cause problems for D/P but changing the move set wont be a problem for the previous games to handle --lord mada 15:54, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Have you had Deoxys battles in Gen III? They're totally safe despite Deoxys has totally different base stats in every game (only the sprites are a bit annoying). I think this won't be the exception. How do you know? Sorry. I'm the one that uploaded that piece of crap. For some reason, every time I upload a new version of that image it always changes back to the first version for a day or two, then it changes to the new one. Height and Weight

Although I can't read Japanese at all, I am guessing by this trusted site that Sky Forme weighs 5.2 kg and is 0.4 m tall. Someone should probably update the page. Also under the gold arrow I think it has some information about trading Shaymin to Platinum from Diamond and Pearl. I am just guessing this by the box art. -- User:23-03-33 04:20, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Art in the infobox

I know with Deoxys we do the "standard forme" thing... but we have Wormadam with all three of her coats, same with Burmy, and Shellos and Gastrodon in both West and East Sea variations. Base stats?

Do we know ANY of Shaymin sky forme's base stats yet? And can we list it's base HP the same as shaymins? Because in those pictures depicting the glacedia's flower, youcan see that the level 50 shaymin's HP stayed the same upon changing formes. SLE_aman

Sprites

In the platinum sprites, it shows shaymin's sky forme, shouldn't it also show shaymin's platinum land forme? We have bidoof's platinum sprite, so why not shaymin? (BTW, I mentioned bidoof because they appear in the same screenshot) SLE_aman

Tiny Land forme Platinum sprite!

Since (probably) no one has done it yet, I have gone ahead and made a clean-up of the Platinum sprite of Shaymin's Land Forme:

I AM AWARE that it's small and the quality is bad. The reason why is because I took this from a screenshot of a Bidoof and Shaymin being traded (best deal ever). The screenshot wasn't fullsize but it's better than nothing. I guess we could do with this sprite for now until we get a better quality, fullsize screenshot with Landmin in it... Shiny Sky Forme

Who says only the promo one can transform? You can soft reset for the Flower Paradise one, and it can transform just like a Deoxys transferred from Gen III that was caught and soft reset for a shiny can transform the same as a Deoxys from the GameStop event. Check this out! According to this and this, any Shaymin is able to transform. The first one has a nicknamed Shaymin that is seen transforming and the second one has a shiny nicknamed Shaymin that is also doing this. Glacidea Flower requirements confirmed

According to pokesav.org, it's confirmed that you must have the EVENT shaymin in your party to GET the Glacidea Flower from the lady in Floaroma, but ANY shaymin can transform AFTER getting the flower. To be more specific, you must have a shaymin "met in a fateful encounter" to get the Glacidea Flower, meaning that any shaymin that was hacked to be met in a "fateful encounter" will be able to get the Glacidea Flower. I remember talking to some my friends online who said that someone tested and Shaymin turns back into Land form when you take her to wifi... damnit, that sucks, I wanted to use her cute little Sky form online... XD can tell Deoxys's forms apart. ****, one of the in-game options for the Battle Now mode involves Deoxys and its forms!
