Since Land Forme Shaymin ''always'' have Natural Cure as their ability, is it really worth noting that Natural Cure was confirmed via the 2009 event?
Also on that note, is there some way to show that the ability changes for the two forms in that template? --[[User:RiverAura|River]][[User_Talk:RiverAura|Aura]] 20:23, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Gender

If Shamin is genderless, why not change "unknown" to genderless? I'll do that now, and if I'm wrong, then please fix it.Ultradude2k 07:09, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

since there are multiples of Shaymin in the anime, I think we should keep the gender to unknown. If it was genderless there would be only one. Weedle Mchairybug 10:56, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Not necessarily, what about Ditto? A whole species of Genderless species. However, we don't know if genderless exists in the anime, so it needs to be unknown. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 11:05, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, technically, Ditto can morph into other pokemon anyways, down to the opposite sex of the pokemon, hence making the "Genderless" part of Ditto null and void. And as for pokemon like Magnemite, Magneton, and others of the Genderless typing, they're mechanical, so they have other means of reproducing besides Ditto. - unsigned comment from Weedle Mchairybug (talkcontribs)
Games do not equal anime. Need I remind you of Silver? It had a parent. The only reason that most legendaries weren't given genders in the games was so they could not be bred through day care (though they should have just made them like Heatran but they probably didn't realize that they could do this at the time). There's no need to believe that this rule is kept in the anime. --ケンジガール 19:03, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Smokescreen?

It seemed to me that Shaymin used Smokescreen a few times, mainly in Ash's face. She kept releasing a black smoke from her mouth at times, mainly in Land Forme. Just pointing this out.

It's Seed Flare not Smokescreen. --Łӑпçε123 03:06, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

No, Seed Flare was an explosion, this was just a black smoke she breathed out. --Superx 10:51, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Shaymin absorbs pollution. A couple of times, it spits it back out. The smoke is just some left over pollution. --ケンジガール 11:26, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
