Leader of the Frontier Brains

I don't recall the game ever pointing out a leader amongst the Frontier Brains. Where exactly does it say it? For all I know, Brandon could be the leader just like in the anime. Each facility in the game is a domain to its own; it doesn't require having beaten the others. So how exactly is she the leader? Satosuke 03:06, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

I honestly don't know. It might be due to the fact that the Battle Tower was there first, but I'm sure that there's an in-canon reference. We usually don't leave fanwank here unless we don't notice it, and given that several of the admins have edited this page, it'd be hard to miss. TTEchidna 04:23, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I'm pretty sure there must be an in-game reference too. I just wonder, since I don't recall ever reading that in the game, nor does the article mention where it got that reference. She's their leader in the manga, but in-game I don't think it's been stated. And she definately isn't in the anime, that's Brandon. Reign 08:56, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Clothes

Espeon isn't stated to be male. The blackout was more of a distraction for Anabel so Ash could break their focus, per se. WATERWarrior67 23:11, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Anabel's sex in one of the manga

In the Battle Frontier manga there's a rumor that she was changed into a boy. Is that true? I've seen screenshots, and she still seems female. Dia Sprite 06:06, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Alakazam's VA

In her debut episode, Anabel is first seen with an Alakazam. However, I think that there is a mistake regarding Alakazam's voice actor. Maddie Blaustein's voice is last heard in the AG series episode Pasta La Vista!, twenty-four episodes earlier. Unless this was recorded while she was still alive, I think that Alakazam's English voice actor should be changed. WATERWarrior67 23:16, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Emerald Universe

As her SM battle theme (which uses the same GBA trumpets despite there already being a revamped version), as well as her passing through a UB wormhole, heavily implies that she is from the universe of the original games, should it that be stated in the Trivia section? --Geektreecko (talk) 04:02, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

All of the old games' Battle Tree contenders use their original themes. Even Cynthia, who (like Anabel) has already had revamped versions of her theme in the past. So I wouldn't consider that to be evidence that SM's Anabel came from the original games' universe. A more compelling point might be that Looker says Anabel used to protect a tower (obviously implied to be the Battle Tower), which doesn't exist yet in ORAS... but we're not sure of the timeline between SM and ORAS, so it's fully possible that construction of ORAS's Battle Tower was completed before the events of Sun and Moon. Page title

Since Anabel now appears in a context very much separate from the Battle Frontier, is it still appropriate to keep her Trainer class in the page title? (For that matter, is it appropriate to have the Trainer classes in any of the Frontier Brains' page titles? We don't use Trainer classes for virtually any other characters' page titles.)
