Flipping

I have to ask this...

there are some pages from the english editions of the manga that are annoying to me

it's the flipping really...for example the scar on Ruby's head, since the manga is flipped the scar appears on the wrong side of his head (they dont even bother changing it like they do for the team rocket symbols) this also happens to pokemon who arent symmetrical like Silver's sneasel (before it evolved of course), Chimhiko (before it became infernape), etc etc.I dont mind if the image isnt causing the page to have things on the wrong part of the body

I was wondering if it was possible to flip the images so that they are correct as long as it doesnt make the image look off (like sound effects being backwards) for example the ruby scar image has no sound effects on it and therefore would not be affected by flipping at all (that or someone finding the japanese version) (Ataro 01:47, 26 June 2010 (UTC)) hello? I don't know that much about the manga, but If I get it right, the English version is flipped from the Japanese version to aid conversion from Japanese to English. Personally I would think that since we are an English language wiki we should use the officially released English pictures where available, but you'd probably be best to ask CoolPikachu!, the leader of Project Manga for a definitive answer. Feminine Personality/Side

Doesn't Ruby have a feminine side? Many of the items he carries are mostly for girls. Also, most of his Pokémon are female gendered (save for Zuzu) and his behavior is too girlish. PattyMan 19:04, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

History

Is it just me or this page looks excecively detailed? I know that in the history must have the important points, but it looks like here we're telling the complete history of the RS chapter! I guess this page and the other character pages must be rewriten to include only the major events. + Since ZUZU has its own page, why the description in the box is that huge? Japanese names for his Pokémon

If their names are written in latin alphabet in the Japanese version, why this page has their names in kana with tt:s (like COCO) in their infoboxes? It looks weird, the tt:s are needless if that is how their names are written and this whole naming begs to be clarified on his page at some point. Also, it makes good trivia: "Ruby is the only Pokémon Adventures main character to have his Pokémon nicknamed using the latin alphabet instead of kana in the Japanese version." The katakana in {{tt}} is furigana, which is a pronunciation help for names that are written in kanji or Latin letters. For example, on this poster, there is furi(hira)gana above the kanji.--電禅Den Zen 19:18, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Eh, yup... So that's the reason for it? But is it really needed on this page? It seems a bit pointless because every Japanese person looking at this site knows that his Castform is called Popo and it's written like that so the furigana seems a bit trivial.
