- That only appears at the end of an episode, so it isn't part of the episode itself. It's also the reason why we don't say "(Pokémon) briefly appeared in (episode) during the Who's that Pokémon? segment", due to it not being in the actual episode itself.--ForceFire 02:17, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
- True, but it is part of the anime. It is quite significant that he appears practically every week in japan but in the localized version he only appears every once in a while. - User:05308 added Discharge with the edit summary (→On hand: Thunderbolt was shown to be orange only 2 episodes ago). This doesn't sound reliable to me, but rather than changing it to Thundershock as you've done, I'd rather have a fluent Japanese speaker confirm what the move is before we list it. - The move was never named, but I find it highly unlikely that after the decision to make Rotom's thunderbolt orange in the first place, that it would then be yellow in BW130. It is incomprehensibly a different move. Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 17:59, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- It doesn't sound like it's Thunderbolt, but if it wasn't named, it is extremely assumptive to say which move it is. Note that it's against Project Anime guidelines to list Surf or Fly just for a Pokemon swimming or flying if the move isn't commanded; I don't see how this is any different from that. Without the move being named, we can't know that it's specifically Discharge and not any of the other Electric-type moves in existence (or even just a general electrical ability that isn't a move, like the ability for winged Pokemon to fly without using Fly). - I strongly and adamantly disagree. If an attack always has the same animation (Leaf Storm, for an example off the top of my head), it's clear when those are being used even without being called out. Things like this situation, however, cannot be identified with reasonable certainty. It doesn't have to be listed as something, but if you think you simply must, then list it as "unidentified Electric attack". But we cannot assume that it's Discharge when we have no evidence for it. (I'm not familiar with the situation with the Shinx, but if that wasn't noted on-screen as Discharge, it probably shouldn't be ID'd as such on this wiki either.) Professor Oak's Rotom page?
Considering the fact that its now appeared in several episodes and co-presents the Holo Caster alongside Professor Oak, surely Rotom deserves its own page? It's definitely notable enough. Watchermark (talk) 11:07, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
