Impostor Oak should have a disambig, since he's also in the How I Became A Pokémon Card comics, so he'll need a page for that.

That guy doesn't have a name given, though. Ketsuban 23:19, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

Takeshi Shudo

Does anyone have any info on this Takeshi Shudō guy and the novels he wrote? This goes out to the guy who put in this info, whoever he/she is Manga-in-a-bottle 13:15, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Seaking?

When was his Seaking referred to? --Maxim 14:23, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Professor Oak's Charmeleon

I was thinking of making a Professor Oak's Charmeleon page. So before I get yelled at for making it (like what happened to me in Wynaut (anime), Kenny's Prinplup, and Kenny's Alakazam), I was wondering if people think it would be nessecary. P.S. I know that is a confusing sentence Theryguy512 13:10, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

SSBM Trophy info?

Should I add information on Professor Oak's trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee? File:Ani384MS.gifShinyRayquaza 20:32, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes. We already have that information for Misty. --FabuVinny T-C-S 21:05, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Sammy Oak

Am I the only one that thinks that Professor Oak looks NOTHING like his younger self? I know it's not just the age difference. They're eyes are completely different and so is their hair. --File:Ani048MS.gifケンジFile:Ani183MS.gifガールFile:Ani123MS.gif 02:04, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Hair doesn't really mean anything (he's an old man and it's been several years; changing a hair style likes ten minutes), but yeah, their eyes are too different. But then again, that doesn't mean much either (at least in anime).--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 02:25, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

50?

Where/when does it ever say that his age is 50? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 19:48, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

In the 4th movie he is around Ash's age when he was brought from the future 40 years from the past. Simple math means he's around 50-55.--Outrage DD 02:11, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Since we don't actually know his age back then, whose against chaning it to Approx. 50 as the listed age?--Outrage DD 02:13, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
The fact that Rowan says he (Oak) is ten years in his junior and says that he (Rowan) has lived for sixty years is a better reason. And it should stay for that reason. --PsychicRider 02:15, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
WHen you get that old people tend to round their ages up or down to the nearest tenth but there's no proof of that. Also Professor Oak would be one young Grandfather if he's only fifty by D/P time.--Outrage DD 00:45, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
You have to remember that in Japan, grandparents are YOUNG. Or at least, in Japanese media, but I assume that refers to the actual situation in Japan. If most couples are married by 20, and immediately have children, then you can have a 50 year old grandfather at the age of 10. "40 years ago, when I was your age" seems to be a common reoccuring theme for Anime/Manga grandparents. Also note that this age estimate was never present in the games, and considering the more youthful appearance of Oak and Agatha in the anime rather than in the games, we can probably assume that Blue's grandfather is older than 50. Remember, he's too old to go out travelling the world, training and fighting with Pokémon. Prof. Oak in the anime even uses a Dragonite in battle, so various things don't apply cross-canon. But it's not too inconceivable to have a 50 year old grandfather. In America these days, we often don't have children until much later, let alone get married around 20 (usually, marriage occurs in mid to late 20s, again, IN AMERICA). But my grandparents had my dad when my grandmother was 19 and my grandfather was 21, so if my dad had done the same, I would have had a 50 year old grandfather (approximately). Because I wasn't born until much later, I don't. But it's all about culture here. Satosuke 04:51, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

What's with the pic

Why is there an Anime picture under the game's artwork section? Atleast I think its from the anime, I've never seen that before. Where's it from?--Outrage DD 02:14, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Huh?

Why is the fact that you can actually fight Professor Oak through a glitch in Generation I not here? I think that's a very important piece of information. --Alex S. 23:17, 5 December 2008 (UTC) Whoops, I missed it. But shouldn't there be a Pokémon In Team thing for his Pokémon from Generation I? --Alex S. 23:23, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
