Copyright date doesn't necessarily mean release date. Take the example of the direct-to-video release of The Hunchback of Notre Dame II. That movie was released on March 19, 2002, yet its copyright dates say 2000. By your logic, that movie came out in 2000 and the listed March 19, 2002 release date is wrong. Trust me, just because a copyright screen says one year doesn't necessarily mean the game was released in that year. --Shiningpikablu252 16:16, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Version 1.0?

Were there actually two versions of Red and Green released in Japan? I Googled it and can only find stuff about the Lavender Town creepypasta. DonOfLizards 02:42, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

There are two versions of the game, at least. I have red v1.0 and v1.1. There is another change to the game engine as well, to fix a 'bouncing' issue where pressing the "a" button in a dialog would sometimes register as two presses in a single frame, due to the physical nature of a game boy's rubber dome buttons. This sometimes causes me to select "fight" and end up using whatever move the selector was hovering over in the next dialog without a chance to actually choose a move.

Merge?

Lavender Town

japanese signs in 1.0?

The title of the page should stay the same.

It has been suggested that the title of this article be renamed "Pokémon Red and Green." I'm okay with the suggestion, but even though other territories don't use the word "version," North America does, so we should refer to them by their full North American names. Thank you.

If the word "version" seems out of place in this instance, I suggest renaming the article to "Pocket Monsters Red and Green." Crunchdog29 (talk) 23:20, 25 September 2015 (UTC)

Old Lavender Town music in VC version?
