This probably isn't a big deal and probably not worth editing, but i feel as if the main plot for the mystery dungeon game was completly messed up, note i am not talking about the game itself, but the way its presented on bulbapedia, can someone please explain to me why one each there are bullet points throughout the storyline? i mean i look at firered and leafgreen and there storyline section is fluent and only breaks when nessesary. i would have eddited the page myself if it wernt for the fact that i dont remember most of the details of the game. but i feel as if this needs to be fixed.

I noticed the article mentions that three Magnemite connect to evolve into Magneton in this game. While I can see how one could argue that is implied, at no point does it actually happen. The closest it gets is two Magnemite stuck together. While I'm certainly nitpicking a bit, there is a difference between implying the evolution and it actually happening. Legendaries

Can you try to recruit legendary pokemon more than once? If not, it would be the the equivalent (in the case of deoxys, the legendary birds, the legendary beasts, the regis, etc.) of catching a legendary with a single pokéball. - unsigned comment from Ditto132 (talkcontribs)

Sure! If you're lucky, the legendary will join your team. But after that, the legendary will never appear again at the place you caught it unless you release it.

Instant Fainting

When it starts says "If you stay on one floor of a dungeon for too long, this will happen:

   * It will say "Something is stirring".
   * It will say "Something is approaching".
   * It will say "It's coming closer."
   * It will say "It's right near! It's gusting hard!" Then the player's character will faint. "

What do you think makes the pokemon faint? A pokemon? -Nidolord500

Its evil. No not an evil thing just plain evil. Crystal Lucario 13:51, 7 March 2008 (UTC) Actually, it's wind. Remember reading that someplace, I think the guidebook for the Explorers installation. Kiryu 23:21, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

How much can be the body size for your team? Thijssietjuh 18:34, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey, how do Tradevolutions work in this game? KPF 22:30, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

When you are prompted to use an item in the evolution process, select the Link Cable. --FabuVinny T-C-S 22:36, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
thanks, but, uhh...is link cable an item? if so, where do i get it...and umm where do i get the evolution stones? KPF 01:21, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
I think wyhat Fabu-Vinny means is the Link Cable IRL and select the link cable option when it asks you stuffs.--Ace 21:47, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually, there's a Link Cable ITEM within the game. Don't remember where it was, though. =/ --Ricco 14:49, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
How can you interpret my comment to mean a real life link cable? They are found in place of items you can only own one of at a time (such as HMs) when you own that particular item. --FabuVinny T-C-S 15:09, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
thank you KPF 17:26, 18 February 2008 (UTC)`
A popular and easy place to pick up the Link Cable would be the Solar Cave, after getting the HMs, such as Surf and Dive. SharKing 20:27, 4 September 2008 (UTC)SharKing

HM Fly?

Where is Fly I can not find it...so...yeah...uhhh...anyone... Crystal Lucario 14:32, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Get Dragon Cave from a quest. Then get to Wyvern Hill and BRING A KEY -important!-OptimatumTalk|13:35 7 Mar 2008
Thnx --Crystal Lucario 13:40, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
But you need the Cipher code...OptimatumTalk|13:42 7 Mar 2008
Cypher Code??? What is that? --Crystal Lucario 13:45, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
-slams head- OMG! I meant Wonder Mail!!! (How could I mistake Mega Man for Pokémon???) OptimatumTalk|13:48 7 Mar 2008

Ok that makes more sense. --Crystal Lucario 13:49, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Hold on...enter the following code:
H ? 0 8 ? 9 S ? ? Q 6 4
? P ? ! 8 4 S 0 + F ? !
But it may not be reliable...OptimatumTalk|13:54 7 Mar 2008
o'.'o I forgot how to make wonder mail. --Crystal Lucario 13:57, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
First, go to the Main Menu...OptimatumTalk|14:12 7 Mar 2008
Ok I got the mail it worked... I just remembered how but now I am doing some weird mission --Crystal Lucario 14:16, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Precisely. Finish it and you'll get the Dragon Cave. From there, you'll find a lock on the 20th floor. Good luck and DON'T DIE! OptimatumTalk|14:16 7 Mar 2008

Dragon Cave is a friend area? How does that work? What do I do?Crystal Lucario 14:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Nevermind I figured it out... --Crystal Lucario 13:08, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Recruit Rate

Should there be a section for Recruit Rates and stuff??? --Cool Pikachu!!!

Humans in the PMD world

there has to have been humans in the world the game takes place in. How else would all the pokémon in the story line know about humans? and also some of the friend areas were made by humans long ago. I think they went extinct due to the natural disasters that were ravaging the land. - unsigned comment from TeamMegaraptor (talkcontribs)

Typeless?

The typeless moves Vacuum Cut and Wide Slash, can one hack the game to get STAB from these moves? It's the Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links07:32 18 Jun 2008 Probably. Kiryu 23:24, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Evolution?

How do Pokémon evolve in this game? I've been playing for a while and I haven't evolve yet (or maybe I won't evolve xD). I'm a Mudkip and I'm level 18 =S. hfc2X 01:48, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

You can't evolve pokemon until after you have beaten Rayquaza. after that, this cave appears in Whiscash pond, where you can evolve pokemon. basiacally you have to finish the main plotline to evolve. --Cadellin 16:00, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

If a Pokémon evolves under a special circumstance, it needs to have the relative item before going into the cave. ~$aturn¥oshi THE VOICES 18:14, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Question

Does anyone know what triggers the Medicham/Wish Cave event? PokemonTrainer7738 21:42, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

HMs??

Er... There isn't a guide, or at least a pointer, for getting the HMs anywhere obvious in the wiki. All of the pages deal with the mainstream games. Should the locations be added? Or are spinoff games too... spinned-off to be mentioned? - unsigned comment from Valorum27 (talkcontribs)

They should be added, but we'll need to reconfigure the way we do the HM listing. I've never played outside of the main series, so let me know a few things first. Is the PMD series the only side game series that uses HMs, and are they in every PMD or just the first ones? —darklordtrom 07:46, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
They are the only DS sidegames that use them and they are in all PMD games. I don't know anything about earlier games or console games though. I could give extending the template a go in my sandbox if you like. Werdnae (talk) 07:56, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
If you go to the page where the HM is found, For instance, Wyvern Hill (where fly is):

Wyvern Hill contains two locked chambers. The chamber on 20F contains the Sun Ribbon, required to evolve Eevee into Espeon. The chamber on 30F contains HM Fly, required to return to Sky Tower. The Dragon Scale can also be found on the ground around 30F.

But that's the only place its listed... No mention on any other pages.--Valorum27 16:41, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Plot-set Freinds

Should Latias and Gardavior be added to this list? They do join your team within the plot and do not require a battle to be recruited. EpicShadow 14:54, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Gardevoir's already at the top of the list. I've added Latias, I'm not sure about Latios, since it is listed in the bosses section already. Werdnae (talk) 20:23, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Latios is battled at the town square but it is guaranteed to be recruited after beeting it in the battle so I would probably include it. EpicShadow 20:57, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
I think the problem is that it's both a boss and a recruited Pokémon, meaning it could fit into two sections. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 20:59, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Yes it could also be a non-player character. I just noticed it is listed in the boss section (My bad), so perhaps it should just be left as is. EpicShadow 21:04, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Also, Latios is battled in the Northern Range, not the town square.--Cold (talk) 21:06, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
While were on the topic of Character placement would it be okay if Munchlax was placed in the NPC section? It had a minor role but it was the NPC that set the after-story in motion. EpicShadow 21:16, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
While I don't dispute that it should be added, how exactly did it "set the after-story in motion"? All it does is give you a Munch Belt if you have an apple...--Cold (talk) 21:19, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Didn't it witness Latios stealing the merchandise frome the stor? If I'm wrong please correct me (I clearly need to play the game again). EpicShadow 21:24, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
No it didn't. I haven't played in a while either, but I know for a fact that it wasn't Munchlax. I think it was either Kecleon, Alakazam, or someone found evidence pointing to Northern Range, not even realizing it was Latios.--Cold (talk) 21:31, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Lati@s and Gardevoir

Unlike other plotset friends like Magnemite and Smeargle, when the point where Lati@s and Gardevoir (i think) can be recruited is reached, they ask the player to join. No automatically join, ask. A Yes or No question. Now, I've obviously always answered "yes" at these points, but does anybody know what happens if you select "no" instead? Do they still join your team, or do they just leave? I'm especially curious to hear what happens if you refuse the Lati twins, are you able to recruit them through any other means?--Cold (talk) 20:25, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure they ask again, making it inevitable like the rescue team question. In the sequels, I tried it to Manaphy and it kept asking until I said yes, though that was probably because it was required for the storyline. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 21:12, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Uh oh.

I was attempting Stormy Sea. And I failed. And Dive was lost. I never taught it to any teammates! How can I get back to the sea?--Aescula 09:54, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Plot section

Would it be preferable if the plot section were to be broken down into paragraphs rather than a bunch of separate bullet points? Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 16:46, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

I agree. I've seen some other plot section of games and I think that this one could use a little more effort. --Pokemaster97 16:56, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
Paragraphs are almost always better than bullet points. Werdnae (talk) 01:39, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
Alright then, since no one objects, I'll be making it in a paragraph. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 01:41, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Canon?

Are these games canon?? Metalfenix11 13:10 January 9 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean by "canon"? In relation to what? These are official Pokemon games. Werdnae (talk) 19:55, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Regarding opposite-version unlockables...

Should we insert a collapsible table on each of the pages of the Pokémon concerned? I notice they're currently bare text body, and I have to admit it's not always easy to find when searching through the page and slightly messy-looking too. Should we add small collapsible tables on each page of the Pokémon concerned, it'll neaten things up as well. I'd be glad to do so if others are in agreement. Haxorus 03:40, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

We have a whole page for these lists. They aren't supposed to be on the game articles as a result. Werdnae (talk) 05:54, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
Oops! My mistake! I completely forgot to mention that I was talking about the Wonder Mail passwords for each version-exclusive Pokémon! Sorry. That being said, what do you think? Haxorus 06:06, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
So, in other words, just to be clear now, I'm asking if it would be all right for me to set up collapsible tables for the Wonder Mail passwords instead of putting them right in the article body as regular text. That's about it. Haxorus 06:14, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

Conectivity?

IDK about these games, but if there's any connectivity between these two games, a section in the article should be added. hfc2X 17:59, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Falling star.

The meteorite is called "Shooting star" by partner, at least after defeating Rayquaza. While these words are synonym to each other... was falling star ever used? Marked +-+-+ (talk) 15:03, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
