Will All Pokémon Be Able To Enter?

Will every Pokémon be able to enter these? Thermorules123 19:46, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

I would imagine so, but we don't know for sure yet (and probably won't know until the games come out). Zesty Cactus 19:49, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
I can imagine Arceus playing! - Manaphy1 19:54, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Feebas issue

Feebas evolves with maxed out beauty. How will it evolve with the new stats of Speed, power, technique, stamina and jump? Are these in addition to the old Contest stats? If so, that's three sets of stats which is a little bit too much to cram into one Pokemon's profile. The Feebas problem should be mentioned. Bttsstewart 06:13, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

You probably have to evolve in DPPt. FRLG didn't have those stats either so all Feebas had to have their Beauty maxxed out in Hoenn. --ケンジガール 06:26, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but Pokemon's evolved since then. Megamew
Looks like these stats replace the Contest Stats, so Feebas would evolve with maxed Power... anyone could check this out? hfc2X 08:43, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Is it confirmed that there are no Contests in HG/SS? The Pokéthlon certainly looks like it could replace Contests in these games, but I haven't seen a line anywhere that specifically said Contests were out. InsomniacHonchkrow 07:38, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Yes it is confirmed. —darklordtrom 20:36, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

New Page

What we need is a "List of Pokemon by Pokethlon Stat" page. That would be really cool. Zzimagination 14:34, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm sure someone will make one eventually. —darklordtrom 06:33, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

NPC

There is a guy with a Poliwrath when you go the the Pokéthlon Dome for the first time. I think his name is Kobushi. He has a special overworld sprite. Don't you think he should have an article? --ケンジガール 07:37, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

I read something about him somewhere... Pokébeach? If he owns the Pokéthlon or something he should be important enough (like Baoba). However at the moment we aren't going on a huge amount of information... I'm sure those people with the game know stuff though... —darklordtrom 10:52, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

Pokéthlon Stat Changes

It turns out that a Pokémon's Pokéthlon Jump, Power, etc. will change each day based on the nature of the Pokémon. I would like to add this information to here, but am really not sure where it will fit. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where the best place would be? (Yaminokame 10:07, 12 October 2009 (UTC))

In the Pokéthlon stats page. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 11:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Okay thanks, I'll add it there in a little bit. (Yaminokame 12:19, 12 October 2009 (UTC))

Hi

Move

Move to "Pokéathlon", as Pokémon.com states.--immewnitythemew 14:08, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Also, "Hurdle Dash" and "Snow Throw".--immewnitythemew 14:09, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
After the NA release. We're not moving the Rocket Executives for the same reasons. — @ 14:27, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Pokémon.com didn't show those. This is official.--immewnitythemew 14:31, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
I think that Pokemon.com IS to be believed when it comes to game stuff. Denying them is like denying Pokemon.co.jp. The game informations revealed by them are official. --Maxim 14:55, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Agreed with Maxim. I mean, I think it's a tad silly that one or two minor errors make them "non-credible." Name mistakes are one thing, game mechanics errors are something completely different. I mean, I'm sure pokemon.co.jp has made at least one error in its lifetime as well, and we trust them as much as CoroCoro.
I think it's retarded that this hasn't been moved. Not only is it called the Pokéathlon on Pokémon.com, but there's also a trailer with ingame footage that says "Will you try the Pokéathlon?" This should be moved ASAP. FireMeowth 17:23, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
018Pidgeot.png It has been suggested that this article be moved to Pokéathlon.
Please discuss whether or not to move it on its talk page.

(article, that is)--immewnitythemew 01:27, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

As FireMeowth stated, the Nintendo Media Summit 2010 trailer confirmed this ingame. MOVE!--immewnitythemew 01:05, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
While I agree that since multiple official things have reported this.... is it that hard to wait just another week or so for the actual game's release? It's not that bad of a wait. Seriously. Just in case... though it's very unlikely last minute changes are made, you never know. So just keep your pants on and wait 8 days. :| ▫▪Ťïňắ 15:46, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, thanks for the effort, but... We don't use images from other websites, certainly not Serebii, without approval. I deleted your uploads. We'll get these images ourselves from our own copies of the game soon enough. --electAbuzzzz 12:37, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Supreme Cup

After beating the Elite Four, an attendant appears to the left of the reception lady. Talk to her and you can participate in the "Supreme Cup". The opponents are harder (Whitney randomly appears as one of the contestants) and you earn 300 bonus points instead of 100 for winning. - unsigned comment from KamiKazeKenji (talkcontribs)

performance for each event

Where did the performance for each event come from? Was it from drawing conclusions, because this is what I got for each event from their in-game summary:

  • Hurdle Dash: Speed and Jump
  • Ring Drop: Stamina and Power
  • Snow Throw: Skill and Power
  • Lamp Jump: Jump and Skill
  • Relay Run: Stamina and Speed
  • Block Smash: Power and Stamina
  • Circle Push: Power and Stamina
  • Disc Catch: Jump and Poer
  • Pennant Capture: Skill and Speed
  • Goal Roll: Skill and Power

Pokeathlon Pokemon

Has anyone paid attention to Pokemon that Gym Leaders (Falkner, Whitney, Jasmine and Maylene) use in the Pokeathlon. Are they different than Pokemon that they use in the battle? --Maxim 16:15, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

I think Falkner had his Swellow and... uh... That's all I remember, actually. Could have been Pigeot and Staraptor. --Phred 17:45, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Medal Bug

Yesterday I found a "bug". It is kinda hard to explain, so I'll just write what happened to me. I played the Speed event with Ho-oh, Arceus and Moltres. I won, and when I was going to enter the Power event, i chose the same Pokémon, and I noticed something. It said that ALL of my three Ho-ohs and four Moltreses had won the Speed Medal, even though I just won it with one Ho-oh and Moltres. Could this mean that when choosing Pokémon to use in Pokéathlon, that it just loads the Nature and the Pokémons name from the box, and not its PID? And is this worth writing in the article? TheNikkoMan 08:08, 08 May 2010 (UTC)

Minigame Similarities

Thought it might be considered "speculation", so I thought of asking here. Does anyone else feel that most of the minigames were taken from the Pokémon Stadium series?

Hurdle Dash = Run, Rattata, Run

Ring Drop = Topsy-Turvy

Lamp Jump = Magikarp Splash

Relay Run = Rampage Rollout

Block Smash = Dig! Dig! Dig!

Pennant Capture = Gutsy Golbat

Goal Roll = Barrier Ball/Furret's Frolic

Snow Throw = ?

Circle Push = ?

Disc Catch = ?

I'll elaborate on similarities if needed. MagicBarrier 23:03, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Flag limit?

I noticed, while trying to break the record of 35 flags, that my Mawile couldn't pick ~up more flags when he were holding 9 flags. Now I'm wondering if anyone could confirm if this is true, and if so, is the limit the same for all Pokémon? PeliculaSA 19:49, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Please don't add multiple line breaks to elongate the page, one is enough. For your question, with a maximum holding capacity of nine at one time. Copied straight from the page. Werdnae (talk) 20:06, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Oh. I felt like I read thorugh the text like, 10 times. How could I still miss it? PeliculaSA 00:40, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
