What makes me laugh even more is that this Pokémon was only seen in a flashback. Who knows if he'll have it the next time he shows up. Why couldn't you wait to make the article when it had a more important role? --ケンジ'ガール 22:51, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Fail

I did attempt to make the box details on the right, and messed it up. D: So I did the best I could with the rest of the page, just to get it started. --JennyRogue

Magmortar

I guess it would evolve into Magmortar together with Electabuzz!-Billy4b2004 14:42, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Maybe, maybe not. We should wait when/if it does before adding it to the article. TheBlazikenMaster 18:18, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Why...?

Why was this made? How many times do I have to say this?

RIVALS DON'T NEED PAGES FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR POKÉMON.

What makes me laugh even more is that this Pokémon was only seen in a flashback. Who knows if he'll have it the next time he shows up. Why couldn't you wait to make the article when it had a more important role? --File:Ani048MS.gifケンジFile:Ani183MS.gifガールFile:Ani123MS.gif 22:51, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

I have to say I agree. Why not make something like article for deletion page? Wikipedia has one of those, and it's very uesful. We have this page because it is a Pokémon to a main character. Why else would we have Ash's Raticate???? And BlazikenMaster, I don't think that's needed....--Theryguy512 01:01, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Rivals are NOT main characters. There are only 9 main human characters: Ash, Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Jessie, and James. I'm sick of people counting rivals as main. My personal definition of notability for these articles is whether you can say more about them than can go in the trainer's article and/or the anime section of the species articles. Magmar does not pass that test right now.
And no, an "Articles for deletion" page is not needed. If you want to discuss it outside of the talk pages, you can use the forum. In fact, I've created a thread for this in the forum anyway. --FabuVinny T-C-S 01:28, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
I really apologize, I didn't know the message board was for discussing this encylopedia. Sorry about not checking first. TheBlazikenMaster 12:59, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Magmar has to be notable because Paul used it in a gym battle and unlike Azumarill, it defeated the Gym Leader's main Pokémon. So he isn't going to release it anytime soon. Anyway let's leave the article as it is for the time being. We can see what to do for this page later. File:Ani448MS.gifJmathFile:Ani447MS.gifTalkFile:Ani448MS.gif 13:37, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Magmar was seen in one flashback. That is less than Azumarill got. Sure, it is likely to be a part of his main team but we can have the article when that happens. It doesn't deserve one now. --FabuVinny T-C-S 17:16, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Delete

Can we please delete this. It's confusing people. And we don't have redirects for other trainers Pokémon whose page doesn't exist. --File:Ani048MS.gifケンジFile:Ani183MS.gifガールFile:Ani123MS.gif 07:38, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Paul's Azumarill, Paul's Ninjask and Paul's Fearow all redirect to where their information in Paul's article is. --FabuVinny T-C-S 15:02, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
I second Fabu-Vinny's proposal. --PAK Man Talk 15:06, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
What proposal? They already do that. --FabuVinny T-C-S 15:11, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Whoops. Nevermind. I didn't notice that for some reason. Mornings aren't my thing. --PAK Man Talk 15:27, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
I think this is pretty cool. But now, Paul has it, so it's back. So what happened Ursaring and Electabuzz? (John 20:09, 30 October 2008 (UTC)) User:Paul'sDialga
We don't know, hence, I placed them under "Status Unknown". Paul, in DP100, showed he had Torterra, Weavile, Gliscor, Honchkrow, and of course, Magmar on his person. Neither Ursaring nor Electabuzz was seen, so it's unknown which one he had in his sixth slot, or even if he had ANYTHING in his sixth slot. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 11:11, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Why?

Why in the galaxy did this page get recreated?! And don't tell me it's because it appeared again and did something. Show me anywhere on this site where it says that every Pokémon belonging to a rival character has its own article, because this should not exist. If Paul appeared in every single episode, then maybe I wouldn't have a problem with this one, but I do have a problem with it. --PAK Man Talk 21:54, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Apparently Missingno. Master thought that a mere second appearance, one not in a flashback, was enough to make this Pokémon notable enough for its own article. I've went ahead and took the steps to set up a notability discussion (tagging the page with the questionable notability tag, then protecting the page). --Shiningpikablu252 22:08, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Are they gonna prtect any and every article that speaks the truth, these dys?! User:Paul'sDialga (John 00:18, 31 October 2008 (UTC))
.... Not notable. Get rid of it. --ケンジガール 02:35, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
.....And it is does not have yet a starring role or anything that focuses on it.--DUSKevz 02:42, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean by "speaking the truth?" I don't see the notability of this article at all. Is it Paul's signature Pokémon? Has it had a significant impact on the series? If he released it, would anybody care? These are the types of questions that should be asked before creating an article, in my honest opinion. --PAK Man Talk 04:22, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

And the pic of Magmar is from DP050, so that Magmar is not even Paul's--KukiTalk 16:01, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

As much as I like having articles on rival's pokémon, Magmar does not deserve an article. It was seen for like 5 seconds battling Maylene's Lucario, and then seen lying on the ground in Thursday's episode. Harley's Wigglytuff did more in just one episode for goodness sakes. --HoennMaster 03:56, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Well the way I see it, Paul will have 6 Pokemon by the league, since those six Pokemon will be ones we've seen before the league they are a lot more notable than say Tyson's Shiftry who only showed up to battle Ash. It's not like Gary who has 50 Pokemon, Paul only has 7/8 (well he did catch Ninjask, whether he kept it or not is known) that we know of. And like I said on Paul's Gliscor(?), if this page is so needed, then why don't we alter Paul's page so it looks more like Game characters? The Pokemon, and their moves, which would be more helpful more than a picture of the Pokemon that a person has. And unlike other characters Paul's Magmar actually showed up in an opening (so it must be important to someone). But like I was saying, some of these characters need their Pokemon moves on the actual character pages like it is for the game character. Because you don't know how much I've wanted to know what person's Pokemon knew. But couldn't because the only way to show their moves is if they had their own article. Which is a little weird when you think about. --Dman dustin 05:57, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
