Trainer Party Template

I have been noticing this throughout different pages, and cannot help myself from asking: why are there two trainer party templates used? If there is a reason, what is it? How would I know when to use the one without the show button versus the other? Is it just a matter of not stretching the page? Or do we just not have the information to make a full template? Also, what are the methods of figuring the Ability (assuming the species has multiple possible ones) and Held Item of another Trainer's Pokemon? Is it just "keep battling until you figure it out", or what? Thanks.   →   Zelkova   (Talk)   18:06, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

The big one is meant for important characters and bosses. The other is for less important Trainers.--MisterE13 19:28, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, that clears that issue up. Now, does anyone have any suggestions for efficiently figuring the Ability/Held Item of a Pokemon?   →   Zelkova   (Talk)   20:55, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
There's Ditto and Gardevoir for moves and abilities, you can use Thief or Covet for the held item. I just caught them using my Action Replay, which is where most of the information came from. --P S Yライダー 20:58, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. AR is probably the best way to do it. I don't think you can even get a Ditto or a Ralts in Colosseum at all. Maybe I'll dig up my AR as well just for fun.   →   Zelkova   (Talk)   21:11, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
