::::::::International games prior to Gen III can't communicate with their Japanese counterparts, meaning that Mr. Mime would be the only one in Japanese Gen I but both it and Jynx would be fit the proposed trivium internationally. New Pokémon

Aren't the 3 new Pokémon's relationships confirmed? This page says it's only a theory. - MTC

There's nothing in the source materials I've seen that explicitly confirms it, but in two out of three cases, it's quite obvious, and in the third (this one), it seems quite likely. - Murgatroyd
I agree that Manene is the pre-evolved form of Mr. Mime. - unsigned comment from Pokencyclopedia (talkcontribs)
It's confirmed now. Somewhere. I can't remember. - 振霖T 23:28, 12 Aug 2005 (CDT)
It was confirmed in CoroCoro. I have the specific issue (I think it's July). --Argy 23:00, 13 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Title is not correct

Real title should be Mr.Mime (Pokémon), per Nintendo. Baby G 17:03, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

No, it's officially Mr. Mime, WITH the space. Check the Generation IV Pokédex, it's clearly "Mr. Mime" there.
Additionally, spaces don't always have to be the same width as other characters. The games switched to proportional-width fonts full-time as of Generation III, and there's a space in its name. A narrow space, but still a space nonetheless. Prior to Generation III, odds are it was only "Mr.Mime" due to technical restrictions and that "Mr.Mime" was never officially its name--the original Pokérap has a narrow yet clear space in Mr. Mime's name in visual presentations.
My : The name IS correct. --Shiningpikablu252 18:33, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Problem with access to this article

Why can this article never be accessed by URL? For some reason, Bulbapedia never lets one to, and it redirects one to http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mr._Mime_Pok%C3%A9mon#683976849798003578 (the series of numbers at the end always changes). One can access this article normally if it's from another internal article of Bulbapedia, though. Is it because of the period inside Mr. Mime's name? --Johans 19:19, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Just type in this: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mr._Mime_(Pokémon) and it should come up. シンジShinjiLover,Edits 19:27, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Like I said, I've done that (that's what I meant by "accessing by URL"). However, I just found out the problem only happens with Firefox and not with IE. Thanks for the answer. --Johans 19:11, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
I don't know if the problem still occurs with you but it really seems to be a Firefox-specific problem because that problem is nowhere to be seen in Opera (didn't try in Firefox; just based on your statement). Pokemon lover 12:07, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Pokemon lover: this is an old problem, and has now been fixed. If you find anything else along these lines, please bring it to the Bulbawiki forum. It's more likely to get noticed by someone who can do something over there. — THE TROM — 12:20, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Gen III tutor moves

Can an admin please remove the Gen III tutor moves as per these instructions. Because it's protected and the last one. Myles 17:54, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Possible Image Swap

I've played Red and Blue, and the sprite I recall is the one that is labeled as the one for Red/Green. The one for Red/Blue is one that I'm fairly positive I haven't seen before. Is it possible that these two images are reversed? Or, quite possibly that the Yellow one is even out of place and so all the images are off. Not sure, but I'm fairly positive that the images are marked incorrectly. Opinions? KurosakisTwin 22:22, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Trivia

"Mr. Mime was the first species with a space in its name, as well as the first one with a period and the first one whose name was more than one word; the space in its name was only reflected in the handheld games starting with Generation III, however. Only in Generation IV was the second such species introduced: its baby form, Mime Jr."

This really isnt trivia. It's just something somebody noticed. And even as that, I don't think it's significant. If it was a generation 3 pokemon nd no other pokemon before it had ever had a non-alphabetic character or space in its name, it would be notable as having broken the pattern, but it was one of the origional pokemon, when there was no pattern to break. on top of this, its not even the only gen 1 pokemon with characters in its name besides letters, so it doesnt even have that significance.Bug Catcher Wade 02:13, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Physiology

Should the Physiology be changed/revised? The word "red" is mention quite often and although its pre-evolution's nose IS red, Mr. Mime's body features, including Sugimori artwork and near all in-game sprites are, what I like to call, Psychic-type pink. So IMHO, red should be replaced with pink..The only sprites that follow up on the red coloring may be Gen III sprites as well as the Mystery Dungeon pictures (maybe).Zetaphrem ~~President of Zeta-Tech Inc.~~ 04:21, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

trivia 2

"Although its English, French and Italian names [...]". Either you add Spanish or you don't put the Italian because they have both copied all the 649 Pokémon names from the English. --CiaobyDany (talk) 21:33, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

Broken veekun link

The veekun link for Mr. Mime is broken. --NOBODY (talk) 21:35, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

I concur! The link should most likely be: [1] Would any one happen to know how to add this to the template? Erythro (talk) 00:24, 20 January 2016 (UTC)

I tried it and it seems to be impossible with the current template because of the space in the URL. Same with Mime Jr.. Dinosauramiable (talk) 17:46, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

"Mr. Mime is the only Pokémon in Red and Green that cannot be obtained without a nickname."

This trivia is incorrect. If we're just referring to Red and Green, Farfetch'd, Lickitung and Jynx can only be obtained with nicknames as well. If we're considering the ability to trade those Pokemon from other games, then Mr. Mime can be traded in from Gen II without a nickname. Pokemega32 (talk) 13:39, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

Farfetch'd & Lickitung can be caught in Yellow, and Jynx can be caught in Japanese Blue. I probably should've said in Japanese Generation I instead. Unowninator (talk) 00:26, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Once you're considering transfers from any other game, I think it's bad to consider some (Yellow, Blue) and not others (Gen II). The more specific a trivium has to be, the less worth it has. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 04:30, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
I don't think gen 1 alone is too specific. Unowninator (talk) 04:41, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
Would it be notable to include a mention that it's the only non-Mythical Pokemon (only Pokemon besides Mew) that can't be obtained in Gen I as your own Pokemon? Like, the way I phrased it when I added it in sounded overly specific, mentioning the Trainer ID. But if it were phrased more like "The only Pokemon besides Mew that can only be obtained as an outsider Pokemon? Pokemega32 (talk) 10:51, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
Farfetch'd, Lickitung, and Jynx.--ForceFire 11:38, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
...or probably none of them (according to their pages)? And I guess not only is it the Trainer ID, but the OT (incl. name). Not judging on notability, though. Nescientist (talk) 13:08, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
You can catch wild Farfetch'd and Lickitung in Yellow and wild Jynx in the Japanese Blue. Pokemega32 (talk) 01:46, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
