Mirror Move is technically any attack, so, how can we define if its "damaging" or "non-damaging"? furthermore, it isnt "status" if it returns an attack, then it would be physical or special.

:::That's debatable.  I'd say no, because it isn't a damaging move on its own.  It can just as easily copy Tail Whip as Hydro Pump, and therefore can be either.  Let's leave it as it is for now.  -<span style="color:#30D5C8">ニョロトノ</span><span style="color:#FF69B4">666</span>

Could this copy Transform? Requiem Bell 17:15, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
:Given how Mirror Move only copies when an effect actually affects the user, I'd wager it can't copy Transform.  Transform doesn't actually do anything to the one packing Mirror Move, similar to how Lock-On only sets that move's user's sights on its target for a sure strike and doesn't actually do anything to the target.
:Note that this only affects Mirror Move.  Other move-copying effects have their own properties, hence those other moves may be able to copy Transform.  Sketch and Metronome are known to be able to copy Transform.  As for Mimic and Copycat, we need to do some more research on the issue.  --Shiningpikablu252 17:27, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

In Pokemon Stadium, if a Pokemon uses Mirror Move against a Flying-type, and the move that is copied is Fly, then the Mirror Move user can actually fly in the air, even if they don't have wings or aren't flying types. Should this be added in? Evilgidgit 15:25, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Status?

Mirror Move is technically any attack, so, how can we define if its "damaging" or "non-damaging"? furthermore, it isnt "status" if it returns an attack, then it would be physical or special.

That's debatable. I'd say no, because it isn't a damaging move on its own. It can just as easily copy Tail Whip as Hydro Pump, and therefore can be either. Let's leave it as it is for now. -ニョロトノ666
By "non-damaging", it pretty much means the move itself. Mirror Move does no damage unless it's copying a move. It's a status move. Damaging moves are only physical or special. TTEchidnaGSDS! 04:12, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Would a Flying-type get STAB? Or would it be the same type as the move used? ht14 21:20, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
It has the same type as the move copied, so unless it's Flying-type, then there's no STAB. TESHIGIGAS 21:22, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Could this copy Transform? Requiem Bell 17:15, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Given how Mirror Move only copies when an effect actually affects the user, I'd wager it can't copy Transform. Transform doesn't actually do anything to the one packing Mirror Move, similar to how Lock-On only sets that move's user's sights on its target for a sure strike and doesn't actually do anything to the target.
Note that this only affects Mirror Move.
