== Trivia? ==
Should it be noted that in the episode "Mild n wooly" Mareep seemed to have an ability despite them not being available? It had either "Lightningrod" "Volt Absorb" or "Motor drive" but mostly one of the first two as it absorbs the electric attacks.--[[User:Lycos Ex Mortis|Lycos Ex Mortis]] 12:34, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

I seem to recall reading that Mareep was named for a popular Japanese song about a 'merry sheep'...

HGSS

Serebii has mareep's HGSS japanese pokédex--Riolu Rule 20:35, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

It's just a repeat of Gold's entry...not cool, GameFreak. :|—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 15:37, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

HGSS Sprite

I think I saw it on a screenshot YinYang 01:05, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

We know. We are waiting for high quality versions. The admins are working on it. --ケンジガール 01:11, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Wheres the art

Where did we get the HGSS artwork from? In fact, where does any of this artwork come from?- unsigned comment from Max King (talkcontribs)

It fell off the back of a truck. If you'd checked, Maxie, you'd see that most of them came from the Pokedex.co.jp site; I think the HGSS are from the official site. —darklordtrom 23:01, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Platinum sprite is incorrect

I know I've already mentioned this on the Natu discussion page, Mareep's color palette in Platinum is different than D/P. Therefore, the Platinum sprite displayed on the page should be considered false information. Chaos Rush

These are the differences: Diamond/Pearl: 179.png Platinum: 179.png 22:22, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

EDIT: I uploaded the new 179.png, but I don't know how to change the file displayed under "Platinum"...Chaos Rush 22:11, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

I think you will need to upload the sprite to "Spr 4p 179.png", which is what the sprite table template uses, so that it doesn't kill the server when it is updated to HGSS. Great work though. Werdnae (talk) 22:15, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Has been uploaded. Now we're waiting on the server to refresh. —darklordtrom 22:18, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

HGSS Locations

I've noticed that Mareep is available in the same areas in HeartGold and SoulSilver as they were in the Gold and Silver. I'm not quite sure about the rarity, but it's probably "Common" like in Gold and Silver. I found this out by checking the in-game Pokédex and I'm not exactly sure how to add this info to the article. Ranko Hoshino 22:28, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

As more information comes out, we'll get this all added. You can help, if you want. All you need to do is write hgssloc= [LOCATION] | in the template, just like we have with all the other games. —darklordtrom 00:53, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks a lot. ^_^ Ranko Hoshino 17:19, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
I'd say Common. I'll add it to the page. Smashman 12:05, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
