Permanently Fused?

Permanently Fused? It sure looks that way. Magneton looked as if you could beak it into Magnemite. THis one however, looks like there is no turning back. The central Magnemite grew in size, and the other two lost a magnet each and binded to the central head.--JP585 22:17, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Bolt Beam

Bolt beam? --Animal 05:03, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

turns out its a move set or a shortening to a few moves, like thunderbolt and ice beam. basically generalizing any attacks that take after those. --MAGNEDETH

So. Coronet?

Do we mention that it evolves from Magneton if you evolve it at all three parts of Mt. Coronet, as in Spear Pillar and Beginning Dimension, too? I mean, I figure most people won't be going up to Spear Pillar to give Rare Candies to their Magneton anyway. It's like saying Charmeleon -> Charizard is Level 36, 37, 38... 97, 98, 99, 100. TTEchidnaGSDS! 05:50, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

I think thats good great compermise!--kittenchild and her DiscoveryA.K.A. ねこさんTalk|Contribs 06:01, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

...you're kidding, right? You realize that if we mention Spear Pillar, we mention Beginning Dimension. HERE'S YOUR FINAL ANSWER:

Yeah. While we're at it, let's mention that you can get Gastly in Eterna Forest, and Ho-Oh in Ecruteak City! I love it! *sarcasm* TTEchidnaGSDS! 06:12, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
So, anyone like my idea? TTEchidnaGSDS! 19:19, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
If you're being sarcastic, YES I DO. If you're not, NO I DON'T. :P Anyway. I think we should leave out the 'Spear Pillar' part. Why? Well, it's like saying I could sleep (Sleep being the 'level up' part.) in the house, and saying the attic too. Wait. Isn't the attic a part of the house? Why, yes it is! Tina δ 19:23, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Bingo. Because Spear Pillar is the attic of Mt. Coronet, and the Hall of Origin is the roof. Plus, if we do in fact mention all three, we might as well mention that Magnemite evolves at level 67 too. Sure, not many will put off the evolution that long, but just like not many people are gonna go up to Spear Pillar intending to evolve their Magneton, not many people are gonna hold off evolution until level 67. In fact, if you're going up to Spear Pillar to evolve Magneton, it just makes me think you're being a smart aleck. Most Magneton will evolve on the way. TTEchidnaGSDS! 20:25, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Besides, it's unfair to single out Magneton and Magnezone. Any agreement on this evolution method would also have to cover Magnemite, Nosepass, and Probopass as well. --Shiningpikablu252 21:15, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
As the only member of the Magnemite fan club, i think it would be ludicrously stupid to do the thing above (with all those numbers) and frankly, whos going to hold out and say "yea i got my Magnezone on the Spear Pillar!" that would just mean they wasted their time. so adding it to the respective locations' trivia sections is really all that needs to be done. MAGNEDETH 21:46, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Not to mention that it's practically impossible to evolve a Magneton into Magnezone at the Spear Pillar unless you're either: fighting Team Galactic, you knock out Dialga/Palkia, or Arceus if you have the item to summon the staircase (ony an idiot would knock one of them out just to eveolve a stupid Magneton (not that I don't like Magneton/Magnezone, I'm just saying it's not smart to evolve one that way)); or you go there and use a Rare Candy. Magnet Colors

In the Trivia part of the page, it points out that the official artwork and the sprite from D/P have different magnet colors. On Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2, Magnezone's magnets flash red and blue when it is happy/excited. I'm not good with editing pages, but I thought I'd put that out there for anyone who is *hinthint*.

Smogon Link Busted

I've tried to find where to fix it, but so far I've been unable. The smogon link leads to a dead page on smogon. -Lord Hyren 04:43, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Almost two years later and it is finally fixed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. –MasterKenobi 22:00, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Evolving Magneton.

I have a question to ask, do I need to train Magneton? I was thinking about beating the Bronzong in the cave with my Infernape and attach while Magneton is holding an Exp. Spare, but I won't do it unless I'm completely sure it will work. TheBlazikenMaster 23:05, 5 August 2008

Any level-up is fine. Send it out and fight, send it out and switch it out, use the Exp. Share, use a Rare Candy, if it gets it to the level-up, it evolves. Nosepass to Probopass works the exact same way, as does Eevee to Leafeon at Eterna Forest's Moss Rock and Eevee to Glaceon at Route 217's Ice Rock. --Shiningpikablu252 23:07, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
for the best (and most manly) results, i kill whatever is wild. but it doesnt matter. my very fist evolution i killed a Machop. take that type advantage!! -- MAGNEDETH 23:11, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Great then I'll import it from Emerald as soon as possible. TheBlazikenMaster 23:41, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Heartgold and soulsilver?

Alright, mt. corenet is in sinnoh, right? Well how do you evolve magneton in Pokémon heartgold and soulsilver? - unsigned comment from Luke6256 (talkcontribs)

It impossible I think unless I was not told about it.--Midnight Blue 03:03, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
as of now, it is not known if it is possible, but there is a 99% chance it cant happen. -- MAGNEDETH 03:39, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Maybe it could evolve at Mt. Silver. - unsigned comment from Luke6256 (talkcontribs)

it cant. -- MAGNEDETH 21:28, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
This might make a worthy trivia piece for the HG/SS page namely because similar to FR/LG their are certain Pokémon that can't evolve due to it's evolutionary method is unavailable in the game similar to Eevee's evolution into Umbreon and Espeon being unavailable in FR/LG. But I think further conformation is required first. -Tyler53841 21:40, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Anyone try feeding Magneton a Rare Candy at the Sinjoh Ruins? It's got Mt. Coronet-esque music. I'd try it myself, but I already did the Arceus event in HG AND SS, and I ain't restarting either one. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 02:06, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
I haven't used my Arceus event, so I might do that when I get to it. CuboneKing 02:15, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
...Never mind. I just watched my cousin test it in his game. His Magneton didn't evolve. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 21:15, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
In HeartGold and SoulSiver, the Pokegear said that Mt. Moon "now holds a mysterious power". I'm going to test if Magneton can evolve to Magnezone there. --Tony YKS

Magnet tip colors

The miniature sprite of Magnezone DOES show the tips of its magnets having color in one frame, then it turns off the other. Try looking at the sprite while it's zoomed in. The sprite's size and the not-so-bright colors just don't make it obvious enough. Weezing22Arbok 14:42, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

I checked at 1600% the normal size, and they don't turn off. The angles on the magnets are just different so in one frame they're pointed up, and the other they're pointed down. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 14:52, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

It appears to be a result of somebody changing things on the Archives and Bulbapedia not syncing up fast enough. It's an entirely normal (if unwanted) side effect of the wiki software, and should be fixed soon. P.S. Please don't post identical messages like this to a ton of talk pages; one is enough.
