What's your opinion on all {{tt|this|Also, yes, all the Ribbons deleted in Gen V have 'A commemorative Ribbon obtained in a Mystery Zone.' in Generation IV, and the three available in Generation III don't show text, similar to the four Gift Ribbons above; no idea if it's just me}}? == Contest Memory Ribbon and Battle Memory Ribbon gold versions ==
Serebii and a site called pocketmonsters.net both have information about how to get the gold Contest/Battle Memory ribbons (with Serebii's somewhat more vague), but I don't think it's okay to just use their info here. It'd be nice if someone could confirm the requirements independently so we can change the "Other info" for the gold versions of the ribbons. Revision as of 23:19, 15 August 2016

I've created this page as an alternative listing of ribbons appearing in the Pokémon games. Where the ribbons article lists ribbons by geographical location, list of ribbons is a straight list of ribbons in the Generation IV game data, by index number. It includes ribbons which cannot be obtained in-game. It follows the tradition of other alternative lists, including lists of Pokémon, which lists Pokémon by several different ways, and list of items. I intend to extend the list with the inclusion of in-game descriptions for all ribbons. --JDigital 00:45, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Can you (or anyone else) make it look more like an article and less like an infodump? —darklordtrom 01:00, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Gift Ribbons

Country, National, Earth and World Ribbon give literally no text* (heck, it doesn't override "RIBBONS X") in Generation III*. However, some of dump text is... exactly the same!

National
A Ribbon awarded for overcoming all difficult challenges
Earth
A Ribbon awarded for winning 100 matches in a row.
World and Country
Pokémon League Champion Ribbon.
Dump text
RIBBON awarded for clearing all difficulties (III)/A Ribbon awarded for overcoming all difficult challenges. (IV)
Difficulty-clearing Commemorative RIBBON (III)/A Ribbon awarded for overcoming difficult challenges. (IV)
100-straight Win Commemorative RIBBON (III)/A Ribbon awarded for winning 100 matches in a row. (IV)
POKÉMON LEAGUE CUP CHAMPION RIBBON (III)/Pokémon League Champion Ribbon (IV)

What's your opinion on all this? On unrelated note, I have Japanese names for the missing ribbons (though I still need to check Generation IV for Souvenir, Wish and Event Ribbon [then called by different names], just in case the name change was also in Japanese games) Marked +-+-+ (talk) 15:40, 4 December 2012 (UTC)

Contest Memory Ribbon and Battle Memory Ribbon gold versions

Serebii and a site called pocketmonsters.net both have information about how to get the gold Contest/Battle Memory ribbons (with Serebii's somewhat more vague), but I don't think it's okay to just use their info here. It'd be nice if someone could confirm the requirements independently so we can change the "Other info" for the gold versions of the ribbons. Tiddlywinks (talk) 08:25, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

What is the most ribbons a single Pokemon can have?

Lets say you get an event Pokemon in Gen 3 that has an event ribbon. You then get as many ribbons as you can and then move it from gen 3 to gen 4 using hit pal park. Then to gen 5 , then gen 6. What is the most ribbons that Pokemon can have? Getting as many ribbons as possible in each generation. Boorider7 (talk) 20:35, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

If you receive an event pokemon in Gen 3, then the max a Pokemon can have is 30 ribbons (4 champion ribbons, 6 contest spectacular ribbons, 2 memory ribbons, 2 battler ribbons, 7 daily ribbons, 3 royal ribbons, 1 effort, 1 footprint, 1 training and 1 best friends, 1 artist and whatever ribbon the event had).
If you have one pokemon purified from Colosseum, then it will have 31 ribbons (4 champion ribbons, 6 contest spectacular ribbons, 2 memory ribbons, 2 battler ribbons, 7 daily ribbons, 3 royal ribbons, 1 effort, 1 footprint, 1 training and 1 best friends, 1 artist , 1 national ribbon and 1 earth ribbon).
So the maximun ribbons a pokemon can have up to Gen 6 is 31, and only pokemon originating from Colosseum/XD can have that number. --PokeReiji (talk) 21:27, 15 August 2016 (UTC)
