Since the catch rate is not affected by evolution, would it be theoretically possible for Red's Pikachu in Yellow to evolve into Raichu (bypassing the check that prevents this?) and hold the Light Ball in the Generation II games, or does the game have an additional check to prevent Raichu originated in Yellow from having Pikachu's catch rate of 163? :Surely you could just trade it to Red/Blue, then evolve it there, and then trade that Raichu to Gen II. Since the "catch rate" value (163) in Gen I corresponds to the item index number (163) in Gen II, the Gen II game wouldn't be able to distinguish between a Raichu obtained in Gen II that was traded to Gen I while holding a Light Ball, and Red's Pikachu from Yellow that was evolved into a Raichu. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 02:52, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Percentage rates

On the main Pokémon articles the percentage are 8% and 25%, but on here its 2% and 23%, is this page incorrect or the others and which are in need of correcting?TrainerX493 (talk) 21:51, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Yellow-originated Raichu with Light Ball

Since the catch rate is not affected by evolution, would it be theoretically possible for Red's Pikachu in Yellow to evolve into Raichu (bypassing the check that prevents this?) and hold the Light Ball in the Generation II games, or does the game have an additional check to prevent Raichu originated in Yellow from having Pikachu's catch rate of 163?
