Revision as of 15:46, 13 February 2013

Motion to change the type images back into words. Two reasons: one, it can't be searched or sorted properly, two, it doesn't add anything, and if anything is worse - images don't scale, so that's bad for people who need large fonts to read comfortably, these images aren't particularly high contrast, and, screen readers (i.e. programs that read what's on screen) can't read images. - 振霖T 17:53, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

True. It wouldn't be too hard to change them back, it's just a simple find/replace of all instances of [[Image: and IC.gif]], then changing them to be {{t| and }}, respectively. Perhaps we could instead use the type icons in the evolution infoboxes? --TTEchidna 10:23, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
So we're doing it? 'Cause I can use Word to do that in five seconds flat, preview it, then fix any bugs. Gligar 21:14, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Word F's up the apostrophes to bolden and italicize. Use Notepad. Anyway, we're not quite ready to do this yet. TTEchidna 22:33, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Notepad it is next time. So was Sinnoh Dex's page always like it is now, or did someone change it? If so, how did they do it? Manually? Gligar 20:12, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh yes, and what about Hoenn, Johto, Fiore, and Almia? Gligar 20:12, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
I changed the Sdex when Pt's extension came about. That's what should be done here. TTEchidna 20:27, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

The mini-sprites.

Up to 400, we seem to have all of them as .gifs. But then, from 401 on, we have .png or none at all. What're we going to do about them? Convert them all to gif or png? --TTEchidna 04:54, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, Pie took care of that up to 400, then she got bored and left them there. I tried doing the rest but she used a weird way of centering them that I couldn't understand and thus abandoned it. I also tried to upload a 32x32 format that I found but that was way too big. Also, PNG takes much more space than GIF and is more managable, so unless Pie helps do the gifs fro scratch, someone is going to have to errase and convert the last 93 (or 95 for two versions of Minomadam) PKMN. Gambler 21:05, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
ive downloaded all 93 of the .png's, and my copy of photoshop is running a batch command to convert them all to gif. i'll then upload them. OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 14:49, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
So done that yet? Because now I have a way around it. TTEchidna 18:37, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Giratina looks a bit excluded with Burmy, Wormadam, Shellos, Gastrodon, Deoxys, and Shaymin getting seperate mini-sprites. Is there an Origin Forme mini-sprite, because I'm confused at where anyone got the Shaymin Sky Forme mini-sprite. 207MS.png Gligar 472MS.png 15:28, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

We have very talented screenshot rippers. Anyway, the official ones... are finally here. All in png. TTEchidna 04:46, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Do Arceus' forms have separate mini-sprites? If so, they should be here. If not, please tell me so I don't think everyone's ignoring my question... Flicky1991 17:49, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Arceus's seperate forms do not have seperate mini-sprites. The same thing falls for Castform, Cherrim, and Spinda. Gligar I am not removing this lengthy addition to my signature until all moves have been updated to Platinum standard. 19:44, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Unown form Mini-Sprites

Why not? I mean, is there another reason besides it takes up too much space? Gligar I am not removing this lengthy addition to my signature until all moves have been updated to Platinum standard. 19:44, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Well... yeah. Way too much space. Don't worry, each of them gets used on the Unown page... you just have to wait 28 seconds for it to repeat. If you clear the cache on the page... TTEchidna 19:53, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Couldn't they be categorized by their types here? I mean its categorized by things like gender ratios and weight, but not types? I think it would be a little more helpful than things like weight and height...o_O Zolt991 02:00, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

  • If you want to search a Pokémon by type, you should go to the type page (i.e. Fire), then scroll down the list. Hoolo 14:55, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Missing No.

Any reason not to include this as entry zero?Iliekmudkips 22:37, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Probably because it's not an actual Pokemon. Dexington 22:53, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Definitely because it's not an actual Pokémon. TTEchidna 03:00, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Yep, it was simply a glitch from the Generation I games and since it is not a real Pokémon it should be removed from the Pokédex list immediately which I did today without hesitation. -Tyler53841 04:11, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Splitting off Kanto

Since Johto has its own page... two of them, really... ought not the Kdex have its own page? No one wants to load up this whole monster when trying to find something they need in FRLG or RGBY... TTEchidna 22:52, 11 September 2009 (UTC)"

I agree since I have been putting some thought into as well and that while this is the official number system it would be beautiful to have a separate page for the Kanto entries as a sign of respect and it could have a something saying of how it stood as the basis for future generations as well. -Tyler53841 22:56, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I've been wanting to suggest this for a while but didn't think anyone would agree. FireRed and LeafGreen specifically separate the Kanto and National Pokedices; even if they have the same first entries, they're separate. - MK (t/c) 00:08, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
And perhaps also an "Old Pokedex" page with the first 251 entries. - MK (t/c) 22:13, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Also I volunteer to do this if we decide to... In the rare times I am not sick and can contribute here I like doing whatever I can to feel like I'm making a difference :P - MK (t/c) 13:07, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
Anyone? ._. - MK (t/c) 02:51, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Yes on Kdex. The first 251 are in Newdex. An ordered version could fly, though. The Olddex from GSC had the Johtos directly after the Kantos? —darklordtrom 04:46, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Yup Old Pokédex mode is Johto right after Kanto in National Pokédex order :D ZestyCactus 04:52, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
This has... ummm... been done :D.--ForceFire 08:50, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Is this supposed to contain all pokemon? F1restar 05:49, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes, why?--ForceFire 05:51, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
Uhh never mind, my mistake. Sorry it was my browser's find function... then I looked harder and the pokemon was there even though find didn't find it.F1restar 06:22, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Shouldn't the list be divided by generations? - unsigned comment from Pkmn master (talkcontribs)

This should have been asked BEFORE doing it. (And in my opinion, no, that's unnecessary.)
Also, please sign comments with four tildes (~~~~), thanks. 梅子 17:57, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Can someone fix the .PNG files for the new starters? Or at least put a question mark image up for them, like for Zoura and Zoark? «ιɴмɴιαc» 13:24, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Never mind, Sketch took care of it. Sorry. «ιɴмɴιαc» 13:26, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Gotta ask for this again since there are some links to inexistent files, such as #495, Pokabu and Mijumaru, please, change it to this. wat 07:52, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Number of starters

According to the other generations, the grass starter gets the first number in the pokedex, the fire starter, the fourth, and the water one, the seventh. We should put #494, #497 and #500 respectively, yeah, their names aren't a sure thing, but I can tell that numbers are. --Masatoshi 16:45, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

It is not confirmed. Considering all the hints that the new region will be in a new country completely, it isn't even a sure thing that they will have the same National dex. 梅子 16:50, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, it's not confirmed, but... why should they change something they've been using since Gen I onwards? They always started their regional dex with numbers 001-004-007, I don't see a reason of why they should change that. Masatoshi 16:53, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Because they keep going on and on about how they're making a totally new Pokemon experience and how everything will the innovatively reborn and crap? 梅子 16:56, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
That's not related at all at numbering Pokémon, even if they'd do that, it wouldn't be that much of a change :/. Masatoshi 16:57, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
You asked why they would change something that has been a consistent pattern in previous generations. I answered.
And yet again, the new region is highly implied to be in a different nation altogether. If this is the case, why would they use the national dex of another country? The Pokemon this generation might not ever have canon numbers in the National Pokedex that we have used up until now. 梅子 17:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Let's just stick to what we know for now. We don't know for sure what the numbering is (even though we can have a guess), and as far as I'm aware, speculation is frowned upon in Bulbapedia articles. ~ Serial Colour 17:01, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Fair enough, although I still think that even though it's a new region, they'd be using National Dex later in the game, but that's right, speculation is frowned upon, so, nevermind. Masatoshi 17:05, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
What we know and what is pretty much definite from prior generations are what we put in. Once the starters are confirmed as Grass-Fire-Water, they're 1-4-7. TTEchidna 18:40, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

New starters' types

Has it been confirmed anywhere the Gen 5 starters are all pure Grass/Fire/Water types? ~ Serial Colour 17:01, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Nope, this has not been confirmed either. 梅子 17:02, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

List of Pokédex

Ok, I've noticed this recently, but... why do we have two columns called NDex (not in Kanto)? Change the first column into its respective region dex, or, change KDex into the second column, and put JDex, HDex, SDex and Unnumbered Dex into the second column in order to have them properly sorted. Masatoshi 16:51, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

I just noticed this too. By now the headers in the first column have been changed to their respective regional dex, but the numbers in that column haven't been changed to match. Could an admin or someone who can edit the page get on this? --AndyPKMN 14:31, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
After analyzing this I can say it is simple to update the redirect and place the the Ndex on the table in the New Pokédex Number listing, but an administrators assistance is necessary for updating this page since it is locked down which is obvious due to the new Gen. V Pokémon. -Tyler53841 16:43, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
Well the mission is over, so now at least I was able to help deal with this debate. -Tyler53841 16:43, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
Wait, wait, wait. What do you mean "over"? The problem I cited hasn't been tended to at all. We still have two columns to the left, identical in all but name. We need an admin to update the regional dex columns to have the numbers actually mean what they're supposed to. --AndyPKMN 13:43, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
Unfortunately the Ndex is meant to stand for National Pokedex and though it was changed for a while it was changed back and I was made aware of it though I felt bad for asking the administrator The dark lord trombonatorto help with the change, so I wish that all of us drop this subject immediately since this in the end was a foolish mistake and if you read this message AndyPKMN make sure to remember the Ndexs' true meaning. -Tyler53841 01:56, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Woah. Wait. Two different issues are going on here and I'm going to completely ignore Tyler's one because it's a non-issue.
What this page needs is the Regional Dex numbers for Johto onwards fixed and I haven't got the time to do it. If someone does it in a subpage, I'll mainspace it for them. Deal? —darklordtrom 04:57, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
I'll do it. Werdnae (talk) 05:56, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
Here. Done. Werdnae (talk) 06:55, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Reshiram's and Zekrom's types

The types of Reshiram and Zekrom are confirmed: Both Reshiram and Zekrom are dragon-types. An admin should add this. -Caciulacdlac

I'm sorry, but where is it confirmed that these are their numbers? I mean yea, look at the previous years and it is obvious to see their ordering, but that is just speculation if there is no source, and speculation is not something to be had on wikias? felinoel 00:16, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Maybe because for 4 generations this has happened? Why would they change it now? Sure its speculation, but very likely speculation. --S2daam 16:21, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
Speculation is still speculation. If something cannot be accurately cited it should not be listed in a wiki felinoel 16:26, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
I see, so this wiki is in favor of fluff, that is just terrible. felinoel 19:30, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
It's also speculation that DP184 will air next Thursday, in that case. After all, they might change the TV schedule last-minute. They're starters. What the hell would they put before them, legendaries? TTEchidna 02:28, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
No, because the TV schedule is actually written down somewhere, there is no place that states that is the order these new pokemon will be, meaning it is speculation. felinoel 02:34, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
So is the National Dex order. Just ask Satoshi Tajiri. TTEchidna 03:36, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
The official Japanese Pokémon Black and White page shows an image of Pokabu's entry in the Pokédex, where it is listed as being number 004. At the very least, that should show that the starters are at the beginning of the Pokédex, though it only confirms that Pokabu will be the second starter.--PhantomJunkie 03:54, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
I don't have too many conversations with Tajiri, and if I did then I would ask, but I do not so I cannot. Yes Phantom, someone pointed that out earlier. felinoel 05:43, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

New Pokémon

Obviously you will know this, but the new Pokémon are out. Just wondered if we can add them? Or wait till official confirmation for the names and such comes through?--S2daam 16:21, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Here are some pictures of them:

We're waiting, just so you know. TTEchidna 03:12, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Where are the pictures? Eddie Blake 22:43, 9 July 2010 (AEST)

They have been deleted, since they were at incorrect names and were low quality. The Pokémon in question can be seen in the images in their Bulbanews article. Werdnae (talk) 20:29, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Chiramii's Isshu dex number is known. GreatLiver 02:22, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Can you add there Janoby, Chaobu and Futacimaru? V.Metalic 22:14, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Victini is listed twice; once in the "#494 - #502 Tsutarja - ???" section, and once in the "As yet unnumbered" section. Also, the former lists its type as unknown. --SnorlaxMonster 11:16, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Oh don't worry about that, that is just because this wiki tends to favor the use of speculation in its articles, due to that things like this has to happen from time to time. felinoel 21:41, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be in the as of yet unnumbered part. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 21:43, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
This was fixed a couple of days ago, so I don't understand why you, felinoel, felt the need to comment on this, after this issue was taken care of, when your comment doesn't even have anything to do with the topic at hand. Victini's regional dex number was confirmed from the official site a long time ago, so why do you feel the need to make such comments? What you called "speculation" actually ended up being confirmed on the official site itself. Jellotalk 23:09, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
I was just explaining to Snor why such a thing could happen? Jeez, calm down? Besides, the speculation I speak of either currently isn't confirmed, or at the very least wasn't confirmed at the time of its usage, thus making it speculation whether or not it was eventually confirmed. felinoel 23:18, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
It didn't seem like that to me. My point was, what you said had nothing to do with anything Snorlax had said, he merely mentioned that Victini was listed twice. How is the fault of this related to speculation? Jellotalk 23:23, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Snor was also speaking of its type being not confirmed. felinoel 03:32, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Because it was confirmed as Psychic/Fire by Yahoo. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 03:34, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
It was an edit request, but has been fixed a while ago (as Jello said). It happened because its type and regional dex number were confirmed, so it was added to the list twice accidentally. Its type was confirmed at the time, but I was pointing out that one of the two entries failed to acknowledge that. I didn't need anyone to explain why it could happen. --SnorlaxMonster 09:39, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Well first of all it didn't seem like one, and secondly, yes it has been brought to my attention that that is what it was felinoel 03:14, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Actually, it looks like Victini is #494, not Tsutarja. Flicky1991 11:28, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Shouldn't Chillarmy be #571? Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 19:05, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

It's listed twice now, heh. - MK (t/c) 08:05, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Can we have it underneath Moguryuu? --SnorlaxMonster 10:24, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Yes we can. —darklordtrom 10:30, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Maybe it was fixed before, but now Dentura has come between them. Delspencerdeltorro 09:09, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

Not trying to nag...

But this has to get done eventualy. Could sombody put Janoby, Chaobu, and Futachimaru in there respective place on the list?

Sombody should also move Desukān to #563. --EpicShadow 23:34, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm waiting on a screenshot of it in the Pokédex wit #494 before it before I'm convinced of anything. TTEchidna 02:45, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Both here and the Isshu Pokédex page. Rename, please, because I can't do it myself. Ztobor 22:34, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Redirects to Pendra. Should be changed. Bluesun 01:36, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Unova starters

Only Snivy has been translated on this page - someone needs to put the English names for the other two as well. Flicky1991 18:21, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Incorrect Info

Each region's set of Pokémon starts with its own set of starter Pokémon and their evolutions, going in order of Grass, Fire, Water.

What about Victini? --Landfish7 17:59, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Victini's Unova [Isshu] dex number is 000 causing it to be 494 [the number after Arceus] in the Natdex. This means that Unova is an exception. Strongriver 02:12, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Some Pokémon's (like Shelgon) MS are a bit blurry. Strongriver 02:13, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey, I saw a typo, and because I'm a regular user, I can't edit it. So, could an Admin please change 'Goruggo' into the correct 'Goruugu'? Thanks in advance. TyraniThrone 18:14, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Probably would be better to just post this on an admin's page next time. felinoel 20:23, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Name Change

Since I can't edit this, I thought I'd put this here- Dageki needs to be changed to Sawk. As well as Onondo to Fraxure, Mebukijika to Sawsbuck, Emonga to Emolga.TheTheDragon14 02:57, 8 February 2011 (UTC)TheTheDragon14

Generation 5 Enlish Names

I was wondering why a lot of the Unova pokemon names still haven't been updated with their english names. It's all over the internet, so I'm assuming someone doesn't want to change them yet for some reason, but if you do here's a forum that has a list on it: http://pokemon-online.eu/forums/showthread.php?3840-English-Names-for-Gen-5-Pokemon - Ash1Ketchum4 04:23, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Because they're not confirmed by official sources. Be patient. :] --Han Ji-Wan 04:27, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Can we consider these names as confirmed by now ? We saw by now that no mistake was made, the last proof about this was the use of Dewott and Servine in the anime !
PS : I also managed to get the French names of Pokémon on the Pokémon Trash website, and I don't think they are fake, the author of the news posted a video showing the game's French Version and the French "Unys" (Unova) Pokédex ! And, by the way, the french Poképedia already published the English and French names !
--Wolfy 13:35, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
We are using names which we see in videos of the game. We are not yet using the whole list. I think the French names can wait another 3 days - the other language names aren't that important. --SnorlaxMonster 13:52, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
By the way, does anyone have news about the German names ? I want them to complete my own Pokémon alphabetical list (In French) !
--Wolfy 13:59, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
I would recommend using our partner Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis wikis for that. I don't know how confirmed the French names are, so they may actually need to be added; however, it is safest to just wait the 2 remaining days until the European release, which will include those names. --SnorlaxMonster 14:02, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
I understand your doubts. I was also supicious about the stuff Pokémon Trash published, until I saw the videos at the end of the topic (I'm talking about this topic and this video). I think this proof is engouh to say these names are confirmed, isn't it ?
PS:The only page of German PokéWiki I'm watching is the one about National Pokédex : I can't read the news, I can't talk German !
--Wolfy 14:13, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Ulgamoth to Volcarona?

I noticed it's page was changed to display the English name, I assume that should be done here as well. I would do it if I could, just drawing attention to it.Zond 00:56, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

Can we at least remain consistent as to whether all of their names are used or none of them are? Throh, Roggenrola and Cubchoo are also in the magazine'. Roggenrola is mentioned at the Gym 4 part, Cubchoo at the Gym 8 part and Throh on the Elite 4 page.

As of right now, nothing in that magazine should be considered credible. Bikini Miltank 17:25, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Then shouldn't the other names be reverted? Blazios 17:27, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

I've been thinking of this for a while but there should be a chance should be re-protected due to the issues in finding valid sources. -Tyler53841 17:30, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
All of the GM names should be reverted, though with the site lagging as it is, it's taking me a while to determine exactly how much has been changed and what needs to be put back. And Tyler, I will certainly put that forward to the powers that be. Bikini Miltank 17:32, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
The page Cilan's Dwebble was recently moved as well as some Pokemon move pages have had the name Dwebble added to them (i.e. Dig) would you like me to start reverting them? --Pokemaster97 17:36, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
That would be most helpful. If anyone complains, point them in my direction. Bikini Miltank 17:40, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I'll get on it. --Pokemaster97 17:42, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Bikini Miltank for your earlier comment since I am trying to prevent an edit war if a issue like this gets out of control. -Tyler53841 17:45, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Just reverted all of my edits back to the originals. At least it'll save a bit of time when the names are confirmed on Friday, yes? Blazios 17:49, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Recently, I was looking for fully animated sprites of all 649 Pokemon and their shiny forms (front & back) along with their sprites as shown in the Party Pokémon Menu in Black and White. While Seraching for these images, I stumbled upon two very good sites. Here are their URLs: (No pop-ups for either page, but some ads do exist.)

Page 1: http://dialgafans.pytalhost.de/ for Gen. V Battle Sprites

1.) For this site, the shiny sprite is on the bottom of each Pokémon's sprite group and the regular sprites are on the top half of their sprite group. Pokémon are shown 50 at a time. Sprites for the front of a Pokémon are shown on the left half of their sprite group, and sprites for the back of the Pokémon are shown at the right half of their sprite group. Just be aware that not all sprites are fully animated, but most are. This site is only for sprites of Pokémon during a battle sequence, such as a battle against a wild Pokémon. This also has ALL forms of each Pokémon as well (Most of them are fully animated). For example, all of Arceus's forms are here (shiny and normal).

Page 2: http://www.upnetwork.net/fb/sprites/sprites1.html for Gen. V Menu Sprites

2.) For this site, There ARE Shiny Sprites! Please be aware that these sprites are sorted by Generation (001-151, 152-251, 252-386, 387-493, and 494-649). All Pokémon from each generation are shown in each section. These sprites are shown in the "POKéMON" Menu in Black and White Versions, along with the PC Boxes and the "POKéMON" Menu during battles. This does not have different animation speeds or effects, though. Also be aware that Normal Sprites are shown on the top half of the page, and shiny sprites are shown on the bottom half of the page. Just beware: In Pokémon Black and White Versions, and all other Pokémon Main Series Games, there aren't any shiny sprites of this kind! I would advise that you would use sprites ONLY from the TOP HALF of the page! This also has ALL forms of each Pokémon as well. For example, all of Arceus's forms are here (shiny and normal). This page also has the normal and shiny sprites for Missingno.

Please give these pages a quick view, as it would be very nice to see these sprites on Bulbapedia. Maybe not tomorrow, but someday, it would be great so see these on Bulbapedia.

Things to be Aware of:

1.) These sites only cover SPRITES, not a Pokémon's cry. You can find those elsewhere. (http://pokemon.marriland.com/black_white/pokedex is a good source.)

2.) Some sprites may not load properly in some browsers. If this does occcur, try changing the browser you use to view the page or update your browser if possible.

3.) I can already guarantee that if you are usng Internet Explor Version 8.0.6001.18702 on a Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 to view the 2nd link, the shiny Unova Pokémon (#494-649) WILL NOT show up. This may be because they haven't been created yet or it could be a browser or system error. Please be aware of that.

4.) If you try to view the 1st site using the same computer and browser settings as previously stated above, many sprites on all pages WILL NOT load. It doesn't matter which page you are viewing; most of them still won't show up. I have tried to view these two pages on a Windows 7 PC and they DID load, so it's most likely a browser or system error. Please be aware of that.

Hope you enjoy these sprites as much as I do! 〜Pikachu9000 01:54, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

I have no idea why the Black and White animations have not been uploaded, but you will likely need to get Admin approval first before uploading any. As for the shiny menusprites, they are fake, so they probably can't be used, although we could use the shiny Celebi sprite for pages relating to the one in Mystery Dungeon, since we use a fake sprite for Red Gyarados. I know the shiny menusprites are fake, but it would be really cool if the actual menusprites for shinies were the shiny coloring. By the way, did you check out both pages? They're really cool. Pikachu9000 13:57, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
We already have all the menu sprites, and don't want the Shiny fan-made ones. Also, the non-Shiny ones look miscolored; for example, Charmander is much to pale, while Ditto is pink rather than purple. As for the animated sprites, while we do want animated battle sprites, all of them seem to be going too fast (on both Chrome and Firefox, more so on Chrome, but that may just be because Firefox lags). --SnorlaxMonster 08:38, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Viewing the animated sprites in Internet Explorer Version 8 or 9 works well. Not sure about IE Version 7 though. But the main point is that in the latest versions of Internet Explorer, the battle sprites seem to work fine. Pikachu9000 20:45, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Well, I blew the dust off of Internet Explorer, and using my IE6, they were too fast as well. I considered upgrading to IE8 just to test this, but I'm never going to use it and I would have had to restart my computer. Thing is, we mainly cater for pretty much every browser except IE (primarily Firefox, secondarily Chrome, Safari, and Opera), and if something works in IE but no other browsers, something is very wrong with it. Try encountering one of the Pokémon on your Black or White game, and opening that page. Count how long it takes to complete one cycle. I used Metapod, and the images on that page are much too fast. --SnorlaxMonster 09:39, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Hmm. I see. I'll try viewing the sprites on my Windows 2000 Professional computer. Since It has IE 6 or something like that, I'll see if you're right about your observation. But if the sprites are the right speed, then I guess your computer has a graphics problem or something. My Windows XP has a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS Graphics Card Version 191.07 in it so that may be why they look so good on the computer I'm using right now. My Windows 7 laptop (currently at the repair shops) has an Intel(R)Core(TM)2 Duo SU7300 (1.30GHz, 800MHz FSB) Processor w/ a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 4550 Graphics Card in it, and it uses IE 9, so that may also be why the icons look so good. Maybe it could be a graphics problem with your computer or something. Although, it could be due to an obsolete graphics card in your computer. Pikachu9000 21:07, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
I just tested on my computer, and the sprites were slightly fast (animation wise. The cycle also seems to be a bit truncated) in Firefox 5.0 and very fast (ditto) in IE 7. Also, I can undersatand a graphical problem making them slower, but why would it make them faster? Werdnae (talk) 04:27, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

Redundant Entries

Why do Pokémon like Rotom, Unfezant and a few others have multiple entries on this list? This is a list of Pokémon by National Pokédex number, not a list of mini sprites. Their form differences are listed on their specific pages, so maybe we could just use the basic, male sprite on here? Perlgia 22:14, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

I completely agree with this suggestion. --SnorlaxMonster 15:32, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
Totally agreed. I don't see the logic in including extra rows for the alternate formes of some Pokémon (ie: Giratina) but not for others (ie: Unown). It's rather inconsistent. Moreover, it's disconcerting to see some Pokémon listed multiple times, as when looking at the table, one expects each row to belong to a different Pokémon. I think we should list each Pokémon once, regardless of whether it has alternate formes. - Ericss 05:04, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
we should only list alternate forms if they have different types (Darmanatan and Shaymin) ......and even then maybe not. _Volcronaperson_ 21:22, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

On the subject of this, the new formes for Kyurem, Keldeo and the Genies need to be put on the list. Imo gender differences are redundant and make no difference to the Pokémon and definately shouldn't be included. For people using the lists for their own purposes, it is useful to have all the different formes because, in the competitive world, different formes are completely different Pokémon, with different stats or different types.Lucky V4.0 (talk) 09:20, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Generation VI Announced

In fact, here is the three starter Pokémon from the announcement. Should we start planning for new Pokémon now, or...are we waiting for a full Pokédex? CycloneGU (talk) 22:03, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Oh, LMAO...just found this. CycloneGU (talk) 22:06, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Xerneas and Yveltal

Think we can start these now.] I was going to, but apparently, I don't have permission to create pages around here. CycloneGU (talk) 15:17, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Add Ninfia To Gen VI?
