There is no evidence that there is a 5% chance for Pichu to be shiny.  And if we are going to make up a number, I would guess 12.5% or more realistically 25%.

Also judging by the number of shiny pichu eggs in existence vs others, there is no support for the 5% hypothesis. [[User:Sabresite|Sabresite]] ([[User talk:Sabresite|talk]]) 07:07, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

I found the table in sample0519.bin that determines the % of each type:
Shiny Pichu - Teeter Dance - 25/1025 - 2.4%
Shiny Pichu - Wish - 25/1025 - 2.4%
Pichu - Teeter Dance - 100/1025 - 9.7%
Pichu - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%
Bagon - Iron Defense - 125/1025 12.2%
Bagon - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%
Absol - Spite - 125/1025 - 12.2%
Absol - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%
Ralts - Charm - 125/1025 - 12.2%
Ralts - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%
So it looks like there is in fact a ~5% chance of Pichu being shiny.

Revision as of 04:06, 23 April 2017

Okay since I am not sure where to post this. I have noticed that there is no Got to Catch em All Events listed for the event Pokémon in 2005. The Got to Catch em All events are japanese events which were distributed in 6 sets at the Japanese Pokémon Centers. The same also applies for Nintendo event Pokémon in 2006. I know there is a lot of them, so I am not sure if they should be listed on a special page just for the Got to Catch em all Events. Similar to the 10th Anniversary events and Jeremy events which have their own pages dedicated to them. --Lady Ariel 19:43, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

5th Anniversary Eggs

There is no evidence that there is a 5% chance for Pichu to be shiny. And if we are going to make up a number, I would guess 12.5% or more realistically 25%. Also judging by the number of shiny pichu eggs in existence vs others, there is no support for the 5% hypothesis. Sabresite (talk) 07:07, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

I found the table in sample0519.bin that determines the % of each type:

Shiny Pichu - Teeter Dance - 25/1025 - 2.4%

Shiny Pichu - Wish - 25/1025 - 2.4%

Pichu - Teeter Dance - 100/1025 - 9.7%

Pichu - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%

Bagon - Iron Defense - 125/1025 12.2%

Bagon - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%

Absol - Spite - 125/1025 - 12.2%

Absol - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%

Ralts - Charm - 125/1025 - 12.2%

Ralts - Wish - 125/1025 - 12.2%

So it looks like there is in fact a ~5% chance of Pichu being shiny. Sabresite (talk) 04:06, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
