Is Pokéani the only source that confirmed this.  If so, I DON'T TRUST IT.  I demand at least 2 OFFICIAL sources other than Pokéani.  Some Screenshots and a Preview would not hurt either.  (Kmanecke 15:50, 23 February 2009 (UTC))
:As I pointed out two sections up, Pokéani uses well-known anime magazines when they post new episode announcements.  And I'm certain there's at least two of them.  Those magazines are reliable sources when it comes to new episode announcements.  Sure, Pokéani's messed up before, but they've always corrected themselves when it comes to Japanese episode titles...--Shiningpikablu252 16:13, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Capitalization of Titles
How should words in episode titles be capitalized?  For example, should the word 'for' be capitalized?  In the list, it's not capitalized for Different Strokes for Different Blokes, but it is for Tears For Fears! (the latter being consistent with how it's displayed in the episode).  Also, I have found that capitalization isn't even consistent in the show,  like for the word 'of' in A Secret Sphere Of Influence! and Sleight of Sand!.

That would make the table far too wide. The two countries of origin are what really matters. --FabuVinny T-C-S 01:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

We do Canada, then we do Australia and the UK, too. And might as well just add the airdate across Europe, and every day it was rerun in every place... It's not that one country's date matters more, it's just that... argh, the American airdate is the first release of the dubbed version. If Canada were the first to air it, it'd be theirs. Is the Ranger special not airing in the US? Happizelpom 14:51, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Are you talking about the one for the first Ranger game or the second?
If you're talking about the first, that one's already aired in America. It aired around the time of the release of the first Ranger game, and was bumped up to around the time of the game's release (since the dub was originally on pace to air the first Ranger special quite awhile after the first Ranger's release).
If you're talking about the second, no, not at this present time. I'm pretty certain that they're putting this special off until around the release of the game. This time around, the dub was on pace to air the special before the game's release, so the dub skipped around from DP070 to DP073 to put the special off for a later date. --Shiningpikablu252 15:00, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Riley as a Ranger? You're kidding right? I know Riolu will be in it, but I think the Main Character from the 2nd game will show up and not Riley... Ej92 15:04, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Sigh. You know there are other people with Riolu. If Maylene has a Lucario... agh. QUIT TREATING IT AS IF IT'S SOME SUPER-LEGENDARY. What, is JIGGLYPUFF now something special because of SSB? TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 04:16, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
While many people believe Ash is destined to recieve that Riolu egg, this isn't the right time or place to do so. The right place is around Iron Island, and the right time is around when Ash goes for Byron's badge in Canalave. Given that we've just finished up Maylene, that's quite awhile off. Odds are the next two big changes for Ash's party will be Buizel evolving and Turtwig leaving (mainly due to Chimchar being Ash's signature fourth-generation starter), probably on each side of the Crasher Wake battle. --Shiningpikablu252 04:22, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

An Idea

Do you think it would be a good idea to post links on an episode page that let the user see the actual episode in English or Japanese? (If they've aired, and have links, in parts of course.) Shiny Pachirisu :) 01:44, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Thats a great idea. If youtube or another site has an episode of Pokémon we should link it. I watch every episode in Japanese that way so it would be easyer to find. Rucario64 02:54, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

No, that's illegal.

No, really. Uploading full episodes amounts to copyright infringement and even linking to such videos is rather risky. Not to mention that YouTube regularly deletes such videos anyway so any links there could become void at any time. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 20:45, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

So Serebii.net has revealed the titles. Do we wait for Bulbanews to issue them, or can we put them on? Satosuke 14:33, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Those might be fake. Not only they are revealed too early on, they are also suspiciously short and it's also suspicious there are no fillers between Hearthome and Canalave. As long as there is no official confirmation, those are fake. --Maxim 14:36, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Plus, um, Serebii? If another source, you know, a Japanese one, showed them off, it'd be something, but these are just about as revealed as the titles of the episodes from the magazine. TTEchidna 14:38, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
That's what I thought - that's why I didn't go ahead and post them onto the list. But Serebii's generally approximately right with the names - the general concept is correct, but the wording is always changed to English names and the translation is often different than Bulbanew's translation. But it's an interesting twist of names for the episodes. And Maxim, while Serebii.net may be considered an unreliable source, but it will rarely ever release fake information. I was a bit curious about the fact that there's no filler between the return to Hearthome and the arrival at Canalave though. And I thought that Jun (or Pearl) was replaced with Kengo/Kenny. But whatever. We'll get the true/full story soon. Satosuke 17:07, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, this is just another sign that the anime has become unpredictable, which is a good thing. Satosuke 21:09, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Satosuke, while Serebii doesn't usually post fake information, his site is a secondary source so the reliability of the info depends on where he got it from. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 21:46, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
I know this, that's why I didn't post it on the list, but brought it up here. I feel that the way I proposed the concept of putting up the information from Serebii up was a bit, well, made me look like I didn't understand that Serebii.net isn't a primary source. What I really implied was that Bulbanews wasn't posting it up this morning when Serebii did, and that someone should look into the primary sources, such as Pokeani, and post it up on the DP list as soon as possible. Which, obviously, Trainer-c, or one of his/her associates, did; and another user soon followed by posting it up on the DP episodes list. I'm sorry if I came off looking like I didn't understand Serebii's role as only a secondary source. If you look at the Aaron episode discussion, I have stated that we can't post up information from that Australian magazine because it's a secondary source, even if it arrives long before the actual information is released (such as the Mikli Cup, as it called it). So I do understand the difference between Primary and Secondary sources. I just wanted to get the move on with the episode list, as no one had edited it, and it had been hours since Serebii posted the new episodes, so obviously there was a primary source somewhere out there that SPP got it from. The magazines Pokéani uses when reporting new episode announcements are well-known anime magazines, which are (usually) highly accurate and thus reliable sources. It's true Pokéani is a fansite with some untrustable material (attempts to use Pokéani as proof of confirmed gender for May's Pokémon have been quashed a few times in the past due to unreliability), but episode announcements aren't among the untrustable material since they use sources we consider reliable.
