Trying to start this discussion again. I really think we should use the HGSS image for consistency purpose. It's odd to have 27 routes with one style of picture and then have one different. And I already know what people are saying, it wasn't labeled Route 23 in HGSS. And while that is true, common sense knows that it is. It's in the game's coding and it's the same as GSC. --[[User:HoennMaster|Hoenn]][[User talk:HoennMaster|Master]] 05:40, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
:"Common sense" or "consistency" or whatever do not override what the game ''tells'' us. :::...Are you trying to suggest that the HGSS image should be used simply because it has updated graphics of the area that ''used'' to be labeled Route 23 in GSC? If so, I acknowledge that you don't mean to present a lie.
:::However, it would. regardless, have every ''appearance'' of a lie. Normally, I can travel to the location shown in the infobox and somehow (such as by saving) verify that that's the area in question (Route 23, in this case). But if I travel to outside the Pokemon League in HGSS and save, it will ''not'' say "Route 23". Therefore, we absolutely should ''not'' use such a misleading image.
:::As something of an aside: can you tell me where the game thinks "Route 23" is? I'm mildly interested. So long as I can't (within the normal strictures of gameplay) reach that area and somehow verify that I'm on "Route 23", though, it's only worth a trivia point at best. Buildings?

What are those things lining the path to victory road, buildings or some kind of stadium bleacher?(Fossilgojira 16:39, 29 June 2008 (UTC))

Music

When playing FireRed, I opened the bike in the Badge confirmation bit and the music did not change. Is it a weird glitch on my game, or is this happening to all of them? I just wanted it confirmed before I added it. Tyro 20:22, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

It's not a glitch. The route 23 and Indigo Plateau music didn't change if you ride a bycicle or surf. --Gabo 2oo 03:39, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

"Common sense" or "consistency" or whatever do not override what the game tells us. It is "inconsistent" because the facts are incosistent: Route 23 is the one Route that does not exist in all four generations, therefore it will not look exactly the same as the others. You don't get to present a lie just because you don't like those facts. Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:35, 16 June 2014 (UTC)

Victory Road Entrance/Exit

Since the Victory Road's entrance and exit are horizontally aligned in Gen I and III (as evident from the layout image), wouldn't it be less confusing if we used "western entrance" and "eastern entrance" when describing locations of items in Route 23, instead of "northern entrance of Victory Road" and "southern entrance of Victory Road"? -Ishu bagaria (talk) 17:31, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

In the anime
