There are also four Star Pieces hidden in various spots inside Iron Island in Platinum, of which a few will regenerate daily (at midnight, it seems, according to the tests I've performed). Not all of these will necessarily regenerate, but apparently every one has a certain chance to do so. Should this be added to the article? Should we update our definition of item or should we stick to what we have right now? I'm having problems categorizing new objects from the Diamond and Pearl games. Should things like Spheres, Traps, Poffins, Goods (Underground), Treasures (Underground - can be placed in the bag but cannot cannot be picked up by players), Seals, and Accessories (contest) be considered as items even if those objects doesn't fit our current definition of an item? Please advise me since I have added Generation IV items in my list of work as part of my commitment to Bulbapedia's ItemDex Project. - Micael

Gen. IV

"an Itemfinder, a key item that has appeared in all the games so far."

Wrong. Either Gen IV does not have an Itemfinder, the Dowsing machine counts as an Itemfinder, or you get it after the Elite Four, but I can find all hidden items without it.

Please correct me, or change the page. I am unsure what to put, so can someone else make the change?

The Dowsing Machine behaves like the item finder, just more like a radar-type. Gywall(Talk) 16:25, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

But ti's still not an Itemfinder, so this should be fixed. Schreiber 20:34, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

In Japan, the Itemfinder has always been called the Dowsing Machine. But the itemfinder still technically didn't appear as an item in DPPt. --AndyPKMN 21:58, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Interesting, but not particularly helpful. If no one makes any objections, I'll edit this in a day or two. Schreiber 00:08, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Gen II

"however, there were still no known places of reoccurring items on the ground"

I seem to recall there being a Moon Stone available at Mt. Moon Square that would appear every Monday night. 3190 09:52, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Since no one has replied, and I'm wondering the same thing, can anyone confirm or deny the Moon Stones recurring in Generations II and IV in Mt. Moon Square on Monday nights? Because if they don't, the Mt. Moon page needs to be fixed. Schreiber 20:33, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Battle Items

Why aren't they in the template?--Purimpopoie 16:13, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

and...

what about fake items? - unsigned comment from Ethan brendan lucas (talkcontribs)

What do you mean? You'll have to be more specific. --AndyPKMN 12:50, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Gen 5

Should we add a Poke Ball image of Generation five? --Funicode 18:52, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Portable Pokemon Center item?

I seem to recall when I first started playing Pokemon Platinum that I talked to a vendor who was selling an item that was supposedly synonymous to a portable Pokemon center. I don't recall the name or much about it other than that it required a red orb of at least 90+ size. I'm having trouble finding that item not just here but anywhere. Does anyone else know more about this item? --<span style="color:pink">frenchhorn</span> <small>(<span style="color:pink">talk</span>)</small> 22:09, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
