Underleveled

I found a level 10 Golbat in the basement of Oreburgh Gate. Should this be mentioned in the Trivia section? I don't know if underleveled Golbat are anywhere else, but I think the presence of an underleveled evolved Pokémon anywhere this early in the game is probably notable. No, there are plenty of underleveled Pokémon, such as the level 9 Pidgeotto in Viridian Forest. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 03:47, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
To be entirely fair, that had a storyline justification: the Pidgeotto that Ash caught in the anime. This is neither a Trainer-held Pokémon, nor a Pokéradar or dongle-method Pokémon (I'm using the Underleveled section as my criterion). Kakuna and Metapod evolve quickly anyway and they're not terribly underleveled (by 1 instead of 12). Should I instead mention this on that talk page? It might not be notable for Golbat, but I think this should be mentioned somewhere. Seiyaryen 00:19, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
It's already mentioned on level#Underleveled Pokémon. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 00:05, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Wings

For the trivia section, has anyone else noticed that Golbat's wings don't have skin on the back despite Zubat and Crobat both having it? Swarzide 20:50, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

A good notice, add it? DeadUniverse Hello! 20:55, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

FRLG evolution

I had a Golbat in Firered and I remember that I was in the Sea Foam Island, all of a sudden it started to evolve, but it stopped. Does that mean that Golbat can't evolve until you get national dex in Red? If anyone had this issue let me know. Truthseeker4449 19:05, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

New comments to the bottom please. Bullet point number 8. Werdnae (talk) 23:47, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Error in Trivia

"To date, every villainous team in the main series of games have had at least one of their members use Golbat and/or one of its evolutionary family, excluding Team Plasma as Golbat are not native to Unova." That is false, as both Golbat and Crobat are native to Unova, just not the area that is accesible during the game's main storyline. Can someone please fix this? - unsigned comment from Jachi (talkcontribs)

You're allowed to fix trivia. It's just adding it that's not allowed. How much longer are we not gonna be allowed to add trivia anyway? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 15:20, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Missing information

In Red and Blue Golbat had this enormous tongue. I remembered it well though every Wiki I go on never even acknowledges it aside from Sprites shown.

I am really curious as to why it was removed, there is probably a really interesting story behind that, like Jynx's colouring. But no nothing...

If someone finds out why can they please put that information in? Moogleknight24 15:50, 24 May 2012 (UTC)Moogleknight24

It likely still has a large tongue, it's simply never shown anymore. If it is shown, it's just in Stadium-like games because of similar models. As for Jynx, there was a whole legal controversy behind it. No one has been offended by Golbat's tongue. I'll add it to Golbat's Physiology section. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 16:28, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Koga's Golbat

Hey guys i think Koga's Golbat should be in the Minor Appearances section in the anime.I mean,it is major at the manga, but it is too minor at the anime! - Ishlishl

The Gol in Golbat

For years I've wondered where Golbat's name comes from, and I think I finally figured it out. I think it's from gollop, which means, "to eat or drink quickly and greedily". Very fitting. - unsigned comment from Qwertyo76 (talkcontribs)
