Where are you getting that Flannery means redhead? I thought it meant metalworker. -Ketsuban

>Several of the name sites I went to said it could mean "sheet of metal" (which I guess is where the metal-worker thing comes from), or "flat land". If used as a variant of "Flann" or "Flaine" it means "red-haired". Some of the sites I used include "weddingvendors.com", "parenthood.com" and "adoption.com". I'm not sure if only one is right, or all are.

- Zeta

I just checked five name books. Three didn't have it, one didn't have it but had Flanna and listed it as meaning 'red haired', and the last one finally had Flannery and listed it also as 'red haired'. --BJG

Don't want to sound too stingy or be disrespectful to the summary writer, but the anime summary is a bit confusing when read. I haven't actually seen the episode so I can't do anything, but could Doctor Thinker try rewording some parts? -ades

Anyone can try rewording parts.

I will, or I'll try... evkl 04:26, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Iceland

I found somewhere in the Internet that she is called "Eldis" or something like this in Icelandic. Does anyone know something about this?

Fannames. If the anime got ever dubbed into Icelandic, I'm pretty sure it didn't go so far. And if so, the characters probably retained their English names. This is nothing more than a meaningless fanname. --Maxim 14:57, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Notable

Which of her Pokémon are more notable? Her Torkoal or Magcargo? File:Ani254MS.gifJmathTalkFile:Ani448MS.gif 20:24, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Magcargo, probably. Tinaδ281 20:30, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
If this is about giving one an article, they should both be considered seperately on their own merits.
But yeah, Magcargo got the focus so it comes out above Torkoal. --FabuVinny T-C-S 20:35, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

But Torkoal was shown to be her main Pokémon in the gym battle against Ash! File:Ani254MS.gifJmathTalkFile:Ani448MS.gif 20:39, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

I say to do it in order of appearance. If I'm not interfering... File:Ani137MS.gifTESHFile:Ani233MS.gifTALK File:Ani474MS.gifFUN 22:07, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Nickname

Is her Pokémon really named "Mag" and "Meg? In serebii, it's named "Magu" and "Megu". File:Ani254MS.gifJmathTalkFile:Ani448MS.gif 03:27, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Forgot to update names, probably. Tina δ 03:28, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Flannery spanish name

The name Candela (which is pretty popular in Caribbean both as a name and as cultural reference, since the regional music makes frequent use of the word) means heat or flame. It's also used to describe the excitment and joy of a dance or party. --<<godshawk>> 13:43, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Grandfather in Elite 4?

Where is it stated that her grandfather was in Hoenn's Elite 4? I don't recall this. I remember the Animé said her grandfather was the Gym Leader of the town, but I seem not to recall this. Is this canon, or what? ~*~ Erik Destler ~*~ 19:59, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
