Its resistance to Dark is impossibly useful in dealing with Ttars that decide to use Crunch, and the ilk.

Can we remove the opinion from all of thsoe segments? They don't really state too much competitive truth, sometimes...Evkl 06:43, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Question

Generic question regarding the organization of all the type pages. Is there an appreciable difference between dual-types with a type (Fighting) as Type 2 or Fighting as Type 1? For example, Medicham is listed as a Fighting/Psychic type while Gallade is a Psychic/Fighting type. Beyond the order in which their types are listed in their summaries, is there a difference? Drake Clawfang 01:22, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

It's half-Fighting and half-(other type) no matter what order it's in, so it doesn't really matter. Personally, the only way it would matter is with a Pokémon like Gallade (Psychic-Fighting) or Breloom (Grass-Fighting), since their other eveloutions are only a single type. Most of the time the Pokémon would have stats, moves, appearence, and abilities that match their primary type more than their secondary type. Here's an example: Gallade/Medicham. Gallade can have more Psychic moves than Fighting moves and vice-versa with Medicham. Saybleye/Spiritomb: Spiritomb looks way more like a ghost than Saybleye. Sean... Edited

I'm sorry, but who wrote that Fighting is weak defensively? That's very untrue, and whoever wrote it clearly has very little knowledge of the game. I edited this out. Lulz 16:33, 26 June 2008 (EST)

Yea, you could have just put it in your edit summary... TESHIGIGAS 20:41, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
He/she wrote that because Dark and Rock can't affect it, and Psychic and Flying are uncommon. Actually, as a player progresses into the late stages of a game, many Psychic and Flying Pokémon appear. So, there's no problem editing it. FireHazard 02:10, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

Trivia

That bug and fighting are one of two pairs that effect each other in the same way should be specified. Lots of pairings of types have normal damage both ways.. Kanjo 12:44, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Error

It says Triple Kick is a Beauty contest move but the page for Triple Kick says its a Cool move. This needs to be fixed up.--Lycos Ex Mortis 10:04, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Error in the Trivia

In the trivia section, it states, "As of Generation V, the Fighting type is the only type that has not been paired with the Flying-type." Isn't this incorrect, seeing as it still hasn't been paired with the ghost, dragon, electric, ice, or ground types either yet?

Not sure if I just read it wrong or not, but I just want to clear up any confusion I may have. Omnis 15:31, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
