Name origin

Couldn't the "oss" part of its name come from gross (big)? It seems more plausible than boss. There's nothing boss-like about it, other than it being a final evolution. --SpeedSuicune 15:37, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

A bit of trivia to add

Elecktross is the first chronologically-numbered Pokémon since Jolteon (four generations earlier) to evolve from a Thunderstone.

I've never really understood those "first...since" trivia points. IMO, it should be absolute first or nothing. --SnorlaxMonster 14:22, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
There's already trivia on Eelektrik's page that makes the point well enough; it's the only Pokémon to use a Thunderstone that wasn't introduced in Generation I. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 16:20, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Origin Redundancy

Not sure if because it's already existing trivia it can be edited or not, but just some redundancy I noticed that goes for the origin trivia of this entire line. It says "Eelektross and its evolutionary relatives may be based on electric eels, lampreys, jawless fish and possibly leeches." Jawless fish redirects to Agnatha, and lamprey fall under agnatha. It would make more sense to either remove lamprey and just say jawless fishes, or keep lamprey and change jawless fish to hagfish, as those are the only other extant species of jawless fish other than lamprey.GreatLiver 03:21, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Note the wording is to not add trivia. If you see something like that you're free to correct it. We just want people to focus on editing other, more important things. Correcting stuff is right at the top of the priority tree. Werdnae (talk) 05:53, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Done. --SnorlaxMonster 15:33, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Trivia: No Weaknesses

Used to say that Eelektross and its evolutionary relatives were the only "single-typed" Pokémon with no weaknesses. Took out the "single-typed" part, and if anyone's confused by that, it's because the other no-weakness Pokémon (Sableye and Spiritomb) are now both weak to Fairy. So now Eelektross is the sole holder of that distinction. I'll change the other pages too; just wanted to make that clear since it wasn't obvious to me at first. --KiANGLO (TALK) 03:25, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

The part that says that it can't be made invincible by hacking Wonder Guard onto it is wrong: Give it an Air Balloon along with Wonder Guard and it will be immune to all direct attacks, and to those who say that the balloon will pop: only direct attacks that hit that are not ground type pop Air Balloons. Air Balloon isn't really considered when discussing a Pokémon's weaknesses, otherwise Skuntank would be considered a no-weakness Pokémon. And it's not. You're reading just a bit too much into this. (Not to mention you could use Trick or Magic Room to remove the balloon easily) --KiANGLO (TALK) 00:22, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
