Goldeen

As I remember, the Goldeen Misty sent out wasn't hers', but was in a Poké Ball Misty grabbed off the table, much like the Pidgey and Rattata Ash sent out. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 20:13, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

I remember that it was her Goldeen, because I remember that it made no sense (she could've used Staryu/mie but didn't, maybe the scriptwriters didn't want to reveal too much too early). UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 20:38, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
That's the thing, though- it made no sense. Why would a Water Pokémon fanatic like Misty knowingly send out a Goldeen on dry land? The only explanation is that she just grabbed one of the Pokemon Center's Poké Balls at random, and it just happened to contain a Goldeen. That, or she mistook Goldeen's Poké Ball for Staryu's or something. Something like that DID happen in Pokémon Food Fight- the only time Ash mixed up his Poké Balls. He tried to send out Charizard, but instead sent out Squirtle, then Snorlax. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 15:03, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
I checked that part of the episode again and I can only say that... Misty grabs the Poké Ball from either on the table OR from her bag offscreen, so we can't know whose it was. She just said that "Poké Ball, go!" when throwing it, so it'd suggest that she didn't know what's inside, but after retreating Goldeen, she looks quite confident and says that "I was just warming up!" I dunno, it can be either way around. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 15:21, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
She was stalling Team Rocket so that Ash could get away. Teshigigas [Talk] 15:26, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Pidgey Partridge

Watching the second episode, it sounds like that so call Pidgey is saying Partridge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcEgbG0iGzQ 6m40s into the video Yami 03:48, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Missingno has it right, the quote is in the next episode. - unsigned comment from Jbizzle (talkcontribs)

Articuno vs Ho-Oh

When Ash is talking to Oak, he refers to an event from EP001, telling the Professor that he saw a "Pokemon that looked like that one. It flew right over the rainbow!" When he said this, he pointed to Articuno's picture. However, we now know that this Pokemon was a Ho-Oh. We could chalk this up as simply an Ash mistake; but to be honest, the picture didn't look a thing like Ho-Oh, and the Pokedex even told Ash it was a Pokemon unknown at the time (although I guess Ash didn't know what Articuno was at this point, so he could have assumed the picture was of an unknown Pokemon).

What do you think? Is this a purposeful character mistake, or a real writing mistake? - unsigned comment from Jbizzle (talkcontribs)
